Widespread male infertility sweeping the globe

According to reports, nearly 20 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 25 have sperm counts that are abnormally low. To put this in perspective, consider the fact that in the 1940s, men had an average of about 100 million sperm cells per millimeter of semen (m/ml). Today, the average is around 60m/ml. Those among the 20 percent with abnormal levels have less than 20m/ml.

chemical accident in 1976 in italy, is not going to lead to worldwide sperm reduction 34 years later. It is the shit in the water, the food, the innoculations, ect ect...

I say too many chemicals, hormones, drugs, preservatives, and other crap ingested causes this,..but I have no real evidence,...just a thought. It always seems when a chemical or drug is found to be negative/bad...it is always the reproductive system that is attacked,...doesn't matter if it is a man or woman, or animal or plant.

no real evidence? The fact that it is happening in just the last 20 years is your evidence that something is being done, one of the current czars for obama wrote a book calling for stuff to be put in the water supply to cause sterilization LOL. These people write books and shove this shit right in your faces and you still dont believe.

Diet is obviously the most likely cause of this. Have you seen what some people eat? Also, I think this story has already been on current a few times.

Well you suck up exhaust all day and sit surrounded by petroleum and your sperm count will go down too. We freak at the gulf disaster, but we forget that we put more burned petroleum products into the air every day then have been spilled. Have you ever seen the oil sheen on the roads, the asphalt and auto leakage on a rainy day? You can find that all again in you tap water, shower, etc. We are drowning in petroleum, it is in every person on the planet. BTW, kerosene is cancer causing, and every gallon of crude is basically real dirty kerosene unrefined. Gasoline has even more carcinogens added. And therein lies many a low sperm count, cancer and your gods know what else that kills and cripples us.

If you read the rest of the article at the link provided, you will see that yes toxins are a most likely culprit; however it would be more likely for these effects to occur in utero. Bottom line if your pregnant stay away from any chemicals.

Exhaust and petroleum are unlikely to be the prime cause of this. This change has been noted in the last 50 years; petroleum and exhaust were around long before that.

True, however, it is unlikely that petroleum is the main contaminant responsible for this problem.
With the list of contaminates for the developed world being what it is, we might not every fully verify all the responsible materials. - 1 year ago

Are you thinking the "a lot of men" from most westernized countries tend to put their organs in the wrong hole because you've had an experience where an intimate woman friend told you it was the wrong hole, or is there some other experience or evidence to that you can present other than pure opinion?

Pesticides and GMOS are in my opinion a big part of this. We are poisoning this planet and ourselves. But hey, let's just make light of it. This isn't just about repopulation, this is about the survival of those of us already here.

This happens only to men that play harpsichord music composed by the eighteen century composer Johann Sebastian Bach - while they engage in sex.
I do not have this problem.
I play Brazilian samba music while getting busy. My sperm count is so strong I have to employ condoms made of kevlar to keep women from getting injured. - 1 year ago

Hell if this keeps up someday scientists might have to take on a Brave New Worldian approach to reproduction and clone each successful sperm and egg combination 96 times on an assembly line just to repopulate the planet.
Huxley might have been right about the future afterall!

Good, we're overpopulated already. Something like 2 billion people starve to death every year (whilst 2.5 billion are born in their place).
I mean shit what did you think was going to happen from eutrophication of female estrogen and toxins not being cleaned out of our drinking water supply? This is just the Earth's way of evening out the numbers like it did with the Black Plague.
Then next there will be a massive diabetes die off, etc. The cycle will keep thinning us out as long as it needs to.
