Ground Zero diggers uncover hull of 18th century ship

Its so nice, after all these years, that something useful and good came out of these 'attacks.' Who is really prepared to fathom what would have happened had this stupid little boat been destroyed?

Seems pretty sensitive, just building some rubbish on the sight wouldn't be the right way to go surely. People are saying it hits them every time they pass it. What do they think should of been put up? and how long should they have waited? a week, a mont, year?

9 years of digging and all they have accomplished is finding an old wooden ship? What have they been doing all this time? I mean, the find is interesting, but I thought this was supposed to be a construction site, not an archaeological dig.

Might as well turn Ground Zero into an archeological digging site, they're not doing anything else with the site apparently. Everytime I've been to NYC it looks the same, big hole in the ground.

it's such a bizarre picture...it almost reminds me of an operating room and a surgical procedure... with that little patch of dirt resembling the opening in the body being worked on. eerie.
