Chupacabras, literally “goat suckers,” are legendary creatures said to roam Mexico, Puerto Rico and parts of the United States.
Once called the “Bigfoot of Latino culture,” there have been many stories about these unidentified animals. Chupacabras are said to kill livestock and tear them to pieces; they are often portrayed as a cross between a dog and a wolf.

Animal Control Office Frank Hackett described the animal involved in the most recent sightings: “All I know is, it wasn’t normal. It was ugly, real ugly. I’m not going to tell no lie on that one.”

Nothing to worry about here...unless the corpse suddenly reanimates itself and starts biting people. That's when you really have to start worrying. Zombie chupacabras have been rumored to cause mass infections of living human beings.

Give me a break. I just think it's sad that a dog could be so neglected as to look like that. And that's all it is: a dog. Doesn't it strike anyone as a little too convienent that the "Chupacabra" just happens to look like a dog or wolf?
It's just a play on old superstitions that were created ages ago when there actually WERE wolves in Mexico to attack livestock. Plus, there's a huge population of feral dogs in Mexico these days. Maybe that's the real probem that should be addressed.
Besides a lack of hair, and the presence of overly-large incisors, there's nothing about that animal's anatomy that suggests anything but a common dog. Prove me wrong, send the body for DNA analysis. I can't argue with that.

We had a Chupacabra when I was growing up! It was a nice animal. NO ONE dared coming into our yard, not rat, mouse, bird or insect as well. I got bit a few dozen times, but my Dad told me Chupey did not like to be pat, so it was my fault. There are no bad Chupacabra, just bad owners. Has anyone else had a wonderful experiences with a Chupacabra like my family?
