Breitbart hits NAACP with promised video of racism

The NAACP is about to learn one of the most basic of all lessons in life — those who live in glass houses should avoid provoking a stone-throwing war. After the civil-rights organization threatened to issue a condemnation of Tea Party activism by equating it with racism (a position from which they ultimately retreated), Andrew Breitbart announced that he would publish at least one video of the NAACP itself cheering racism. Breitbart delivers on that promise today at Big Government, showing USDA official Shirley Sherrod explain to an appreciative NAACP audience in July 2009 how she deliberately withheld information from a white farmer in Georgia trying to save his land and his business:

    • I have seen over the years many many white people participating in marches with black people for voting rights, the right to have their children attend schools, the right to sit in a restaurant, or to even be allowed to use a drinking fountain on a hot day...but I am yet to see black people in attendance at "Tea Bagging rallies...now perhaps they are just uncomfortable with seeing pictures of the white house with watermelons all on the front lawn, or Michelle Obama depicted as a gorilla, or maybe it's the term nigger that gets tossed around during discussions of our president ...for those of you who don't seem to get it, it is that kind of thing that makes them appear to be a racist flavored organization...so when they get called out for it they immediately try to put the person or organization who pointed out the obvious on the defensive........to me it's really quite disingenuous.

    • The NAACP and the Tea Party are both so, so stupid. The fucking NAACP thinks everything is racist, I remember seeing something on them pissed over some hallmark cards because it mentioned something bad about "black holes," I don't exactly remember the full details, but I just remember it being stupid as fuck. As for the Tea Party, you can't deny some of the racism there, and no I don't believe they're all racist, but I do think they're all really stupid. It's hilarious watching these two organizations going at it... "you're racist... no you!" Most people already know there is racism in the tea party, you don't need to point it out; all they're really doing is giving them a chance to argue why they're not and only making themselves look bad and creating a sort of fucking subtle race war. You can't change these people's minds, just let them be, seriously they were already meaningless. I get really annoyed by the NAACP... I guess my point is just let the tea party be.... a funny, soon to be forgettable joke.
