I hope none of you out there has ever made up a story to get action from the opposite sex. In one Middle East country, tell a tall tale to gain approval and you will find yourself convicted of rape.

    • Yez, I see the poor poor man in jail and I also don't see his wife connecting a frying pan to his unprotected bald head. The man has been sentenced to LIFE.

So the poor poor man has been sentenced TWICE... therefore he deserves the double sentence he got [on top of the two sentences he asked for, one legitimate and the other illegitimate]. In which case his being on top has been his downfall, as we all already knew would be the consensus for this world class CRIMINAL damned from the start of his miserable birth into this world where he -hahahaha- thought there would be an even playing field.

So, on top once more, he's also a fool.

dont forget premarital sex is a sin, so we arent looking at religious law at work here, as she would be the one bearing the greatest guilt.its just retarded irrespective of religion.
more an issue of racism than anything else.

ashkenazi jews have a rough history with sephardic jews, but why acknowledge that when demonizing all of israel right?

the notion is beyond rediculous, as once again israel is a predominantly arab state.so unless you are supposing that religion is checked on a regular basis to see who gets what its just impossible.thier is nothing availed to israels jewish citizens that isnt also accesable by its christian and muslum citizens or for that matter its athiests.

they are a secular society just like us, and while our cultural tradition means my jewish ass cant enjoy the services of many private church's, cuz im not confirmed, im not really denied anything cuz im not catholic or what ever.

its nice to play armchair anthropologist, but it doesnt make it so.

if one is concerned about inequities israel is a strained effort, why not stick to any of israels nieghbors who summarily kill people based on religion or really what ever the offense of the day is.

israel has never banned food.egypt who also shares a border with gaza hasnt either.if israel had banned food where is the starvation? you keep seeing printed stories and the same roiders doctered pics of gazan suffering while the population grows.in 48 it was a few thousand, and today i believe that number is what 1.5 million.not a whole lot of starvation going on.

unless you suppose islam provides sustinence where food does not.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nwI2hzPjrA

seeing as you like wikipedia so much

According to Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics, in 2008, of Israel's 7.3 million people, 75.6% were Jews of any background[1]. Among them, 70.3% were Sabras (Israeli-born), mostly second- or third-generation Israelis, and the rest are olim (Jewish immigrants to Israel) — 20.5% from Europe and the Americas, and 9.2% from Asia and Africa, including the Arab countries.[2]

this is another perfect example of how the information we treat as fact is a biased story.dod thousands of jews come to israel from europe yes, but MILLIONS came from arab states.
if you care to look at the historical figures of european immigrants to israel in 48.then take the population of israel in 48 and subtract that number, and depending on your source you are left with 2.5 million jews in israel, and not from europe.

if your really interted in understanding this anomoly look at the estimated populations of jews throughout arab territories before 48, and it is clear where these 2.5 million jews came from.arab territories.

israel's population breakdown while in terms of religion is like 90 percent are jewish and ten are muslum and christian, but as far as racial make up, arabs make up almost three quarters of israels population, with only one quarter (1 million) being muslim.the rest of israels arab population are jewish arabs.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nwI2hzPjrA
the other half of jewish history not common in european societies.

then you think very very wrong.its the exact opposite.the arab jews and european jews are in a constant struggle similar to race issue in america.white jews are pissed that the arab jews see them as the bad guys, "why do all the bad guys in film have names like kaminski" is a comon lament.the arab population is also tired of having its history and culture overshadowed by thier european counterparts.arab jews want more of that acknowledgement not less.

You misunderstood my reply to frownfish I think. I was saying IF people could be arrested for rape for lying about how good they were in bed (when they weren't actually good in bed) THEN 'my first comment'.

I wasn't saying some arbitrary rise in false rape accusations would result in 100 million men being accused of rape next week....

nope literaly impossible as the majority of jews in israel are arab.
a few thousand jews came from europe in 48, but millions came from arab lands, like iraq and iran.
they are called sephardim or sephardic.chances are in a hundred years at this rate israel will be an entirely arab state as european miggration doesnt yield much in the way of population growth.

i think what you were going for was inter marraige between jews and muslums, wich is a matter of custom depending where in israel you live, but not by governmental standards.it would not be well accepted in an orthodox nieghborhood for a jewish woman to marry a muslum man, but it would be fine for a jewish man to marry a muslum woman, but that of course comes with a conversion of the woman.but aside from that, and familial prejudices just like with us here, you can marry whomever you want.arab jew can marry a european muslum if they want, it will just be hard finding that temple or community.

the real pressure is on the jewish mothers guilt job on the son.the right to marry outside of faith isnt a big issue as a jewish mothers guilt is more powerfull than any law.

actually its a matter of tradition commanded by god, just like it is in islam, and christianity.no different.the only emphasis jews have on intermarraige is based in fear of the jewish people being assimilated out of existence much in the way the hittites were, or other groups whos woman married jewish men thus collapsing that culture.
in contemperary terms it is a concern that the assimilation into non jewish societies can lead to what happened in germany, as the jews of germany felt as safe and secure then as we in america feel today, wich dissolves jewish communities.as it is my jewish ass doesnt know any other jews where i live as i am assimilated.if shit happened again like it had i wouldnt stand a chance.
just the same as my catholic mother in law insists that any kids i have be baptised, my mother insists on a bris.that is the essance of why intermarraige is looked down upon in all non fundamentalist jewish society.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5wE-H7-7PU
it is such not an authorative issue, that israel makes psa's about intermarraige, asking not demanding that its not done.freedom to do so is not denied.

    • I know the feeling; she tells you she's a "good girl" then two weeks after you break up she's already banged 5 more guys, and her friends start telling you the truth about the little whore..... you just feel violated.

I wish I could jail chicks who seriously downplayed there promiscuity, just so they could take advantage of me.

    • Holy shit, this is completely absurd, lol.

He's basically a criminal for being an Arab pretending to be a Jew and banging a nice Jewish girl. This story smacks of racism, because he was convicted for lying about being Jewish, not for lying about being single.

I don't know who's more sleezy, men who lie for sex or women who use their body as a commodity to barter for a better life style.

i realized that after i did it.
no the story itself.i cant put my finger on it, but my jewdar is going off the charts the same way it did with the organ harvesting story, some pieces just dont fit.i mean in a free democratic society lying for sex is inherant.so after 62 yrs only now has this become a thing.the religious kep it in thier pants, but the majority of israel if full of secular folks fuckin all the time, just like here.the idea that this would be rape is just so redicuolus something has to be missing.the people who created the word schtupping as a term for sex much how we use humping cant also be that puritanical, especialy as judaism isnt obsessed with sex as much as the other big two faiths.

in the organ harvesting story it was ignoring organ donation is a matter of free trade, making it sound like something evil, when it was something else entirely.this smacks of the smae thing.i just cant put my finger on it.

not a single one.i never claimed palastinians have proper representation, they are vastly under represented.but the supreme court has had and does have arab jews on it.

just as it is in america, and i assume in the uk, if your mission statement is the destruction of the state, the state isnt going to employ or value you.palastinians are welcome and part of the political process, but they self proclude as they represent parties whos fundation is the destruction of israel.thier are palastinian governmental representatives in israeli government just as hamas has its token jews.

      yeah so evil huh.
we did it cuz communism was a threat, in asia some how.
but when israel who is surrounded by nations actively engaged in its destruction what a silly thing to do huh?
i guess it would only be ok if they had a fictitious enemy across the world like how we did it in vietnam.

while the subject matter is on the table, conscription has had periods of abandonment in direct relation to arab nations treatment of israel.in the nineties kids werent forced into military service as it wasnt needed.
now that it is back, conciencious objectors still dont serve, and unlike us arent jailed for it.

it is convinient though to have an entire nation of people trained and ready when terrorism is a common occurance
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbP45VON0hU&feature=related
imagine how differently 9-11 would have been had our civilians been aware and prepared in how to take down terrorists.flight 93 wouldnt have been the only one to not hit its target.

so you sre unaware of the fact that israels ethnic make up is predominantly arab jews, and you think the arab jews dont wish to be refered to as such, and now your taking the leap into dictating the israeli supreme court requirements?
just as any place its supreme court judges, or council, or what ever you want to call the grouping of people who create legal policy, it is a political endevour.just as republicans go ape shit here when democrats are nominated, and democrats do the same when conservatives are nominated, the same applies everywhere.
like i said israel in this regard is
      no better
      no worse
than any country.who knows maybe mandating palastinian representation on the supreme court would result in equitable laws creating domestic peace, or maybe it would begin a systematic unraveling of israles society.just like any nation they choose to proceed with extreme caution as it is warrented.just like irans muslum council doesnt have any jews or christians on it, or for a while we didnt have any woman or blacks.
      no better
      no worse
      just the same

    • I don't understand how he could have been convicted of rape. Although there are many factors to rape, this cannot possibly be one of them. He was unjustly convicted, they had consensual sex. If this were in the states, it would have been thrown out.
      From the article:
[Elkana Laist of the Public Defender's Office said]"The test the court adopted is problematic, because it means that every time a man tells a woman he loves her, based on which she sleeps with him, he could be convicted of rape."

It's absurd and it destroys the legislative/judicial process in Israel. This is racial discrimination and maybe even gender discrimination.
From the article about the legislation for rape by deception:
"person does not tell the truth regarding critical matters to a reasonable woman, and as a result of misrepresentation she has sexual relations with him."
That's poorly written legislation. What can be considered a critical matter? And what do they mean by a reasonable woman?
