I like how blunt the EPA was and I think it's great that off the record was on camera . I always thought the best filter was Reverse Osmosis I was wrong it blocks everything but the really bad shit (i guess I just drink scotch)

Have to say we are all behind it, and there are many contributing factors.

I'd LIKE to think it's more ignorance than arrogance and lack of concern, but..... We prohibit things like hemp which can be used as a fuel. We build these big stupid status symbol houses, and the equivalent of giant elongated sardine cans we call trailers (for the poor) that require a lot of energy to keep cool.

I think we're stupid, cave men had it figured it was in their name "cave" men. They were using geothermal before it was a word, they knew to beat the heat the best way was to go underground, not cut down a bunch of trees to demonstrate how we've "mastered" nature.

The US in particular is a nation of egotists, we're so caught up with greed, making a statement, keeping up with or surpassing the "Jones-es" that most people say damn the consequences.

Corporations take advantage of the egotists, cater to their needs, and know they will remain quite wealthy by doing so. They are behind things like fracking, oil drilling, logging industries, building supply chains, etc. and will continue to lobby the government to outlaw any viable alternative to what they provide.

The people behind "eathships" have it figured, those thinking outside of standard building codes have it figured, those thinking of alternate fuels/clean energy, those supplementing their food needs off their own land and rethinking just what it is we "need" all have it figured.

I hate to say it, but if everyone were to live as responsibly as we should; things would be a lot less "cool" (by most standards), there would be a lot more equality, everyone would know what a day of work is, your car would only be leaving the yard a couple times a week, you'd work a lot closer to home because after all working people "provide" for their family and why would you go way off to provide the things that could be provided from just a small chunk of property, and due diligence........... And a bunch of other things nobody wants to hear, if you want to live responsibly and end things like fracking.

Sorry got carried away with at last paragraph, damn hippies got to me....

Aren't we all behind it? I heat my home and use products that were created through the use of natural gas.
