    • I am all for helping people in need, but in the case of Afghanistan/ Iraq, it seems that we are doing more harm than good. One has to look at the definition of war and what it means to be at war with someone else. What has it been seen the first rock was thrown? It has always been about power, land, resources, and so on. It has always been taking from others what does not belong to you or forcing customs onto people that do not want it. Now in the middle east seems like a good place to have a war considering we go through millions of barrels of oil every day...

why o why do people insist on re-defining war all the time. "War is thus an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will." - Clausewitz 'On War' Chapter 1 page one 'What is War'. Further more.
"Kindhearted people might of course think there was some ingenious way to disarm or defeat an enemy without to much bloodshed, and might imagine this is the true goal of the art of war. Pleasant as it sounds, it is a fallacy that muse be exposed: war is such a dangerous business that the mistakes which come from kindness are the very worse. The maximum use of force is in now way incompatible with the punction, undeterred by the bloodshed it involves, while the other side refrains, the first will gain the upper hand. That side will fore the other to follow suit; each will drive its opponent toward extremes, and the only limiting are the counterpoises inherent in war." What are counterpoises?
"War is nothing more than a continuance of diplomacy." All of that is more Clausewitz of course.

See, the real issue here is not harm or good, it is an agenda... a confused one at that. You must remember two things at all times. It is only wrong if you get caught, and that history is written by the winners... you should take a minute to ponder that.

We spent 50 plus years preaching to the world about global economies. Yet they get here and we have very vocal appeals to shutting our borders and becoming reclusive, in other words not playing our own game. We enter a war in the most notoriously unconquerable part of the world committing 37k troops and waisting our supporting resources else where (200k+ troops and countless contractors in Iraq), in an area 1/3 the size.

And then we have you come along and say that we are doing more harm by being there without ever questioning why we were attacked on September 11. Are we doing more harm though? Hell no! We did more harm by not being there before in a humanitarian since (and I don't mean Christian fucktrad missionaries posing as doctors), and now we are paying the piper. Unfortunately we let someone screw that up for 8 years too.

The smart thing would have been to go in, destroy, leave, and "allow" China or some other "innocent" third party rebuild and establish world commerce, but no one ever accuse military brass of having intelligence... all puns intended... actually I think there might have been a man with that plan (Colon Powell) but he was told to quite and shut up...

How was I redefining war? You said yourself it is about agenda, which is what i said "forcing your wants on someone else" or forcing your agenda on someone else. Yes 9/11 did happen but why, should we give into the scare tactics of these people? I think the proper thing to do would be to stop buying oil from them then they wouldn't have the money to support themselves. War is the most unnecessary action to take and can and SHOULD be prevented at all times.

Not buying oil from them would be considered oppressing them, and oppressed people retaliate... recall the boston tea party. Not buying their oil is exactly the mentality of what we should not have done in the 80's. Afghanistan does not its self have any oil to speak of however. It has been argued that they are a strategic location for pipelines from the Caspian Sea, but those have been run through Iran for decades now... and the last thing anyone wants to do is provoke Iran. You cant subdue the beast by poking him with a stick.

How did you redefine war? "I am all for helping people in need... One has to look at the definition of war..."
Pinning those first 8 words onto anything about the definition of war is foolish. To revisit my drunkenly typed exert from On War. "the mistakes which come from kindness are the very worst."

    • As a man that has served in Afghanistan, I must say that this is a sad day for the local Afghans who are trying to help us out against the Taliban. They are already being targeted by Taliban who now have access to their names.

God this is sad. This asshole manning has put his politics ahead of his countrymen.

Word. "THE TALIBANS HAVE NO TANKS, NO JETS, NO NAVY....What the hell are you destroying?"

The largest, most-high-tech military in the world -- the US military -- is fighting these people for over 10 years now?? This is getting ridiculous. I think this war is a sinkhole and that we need to bring our war dollars home, along with all the troops, and private military contractors. We need to help this country torn by 30 years of war start to put itself back together.

Our soldiers may be great, hardworking people, but they are not diplomats. We need to kickstart the diplomatic operations and curtail the combat asap.

I know man. If the leaks would have been something along the lines of denied air support or deals cut with Taliban commanders I could have seen it being a good thing, but this ass hole, I wish he would have been higher on the threat list is all I am saying.

    • Finally we have an organization to expose the corruption and mercenary war started by the Nazi sympathizer George Bush, Grandson of Prescott Bush who planned a USA coup in 1933 and who supported Adolph Hitler. It is strange that so many kids died in WWII and again those Nazi Sympathizers gained while the youth of American continues to die for the Alien Government and their puppets.

What result, if any, will the WikiLeaks release of documents have on the US war in Afghanistan? And, with the release of the WikiLeaks documents, what is the role of the mainstream media in the reporting on the war? Alex Jones is back on RT America to comment, opening up fresh debate and reviving questions that RT America has been asking and answering for some time.

    • Well if any of you have an open mind consider the source we went to Iraq and no one had no weapons of mass destruction. We went after Osama Bin Laden he can not be found because they bombed everything over there and they are now just securing the Heroin crops to bring it over to the United States and pump the streets with drugs. Now you believe that there going to put this on wikileaks for telling information about the military dude this all falls into control our nation is full of tainted leaders in our nation.

David Rockerfeller the JP Chase Morgan bank owners teaming up with the Obama administration wake up people we are getting snow balled to the 5th power. We need to start off by removing these corrupt government officials who run the media this is why we never hear about this in the news. The media is really wagging the dogs tail just like 9/11 I don't believe none of this "BS" because if Bin Laden did this why were they going after Saddam I will explain oil OIL OIL... all of these company's are part of the one world government can you see it happening there going to start controlling what people can post and say what I am telling all of you could get me as well in the hot seat. But I say we need to have a new system no more one world government it's already here this is why Obama is not stopping this war its causing us a debt that US can not afford think about it.

Obama is not for America he is being controlled by the powers that be world bank leaders over 140 of them take your pick.

"Taliban Says It Will Target Names Exposed by WikiLeaks

Militants were alerted to the leaked documents, which reveal details of informants, by news reports.

The U.S. military has already accused WikiLeaks of having "the blood of some young soldier or that of an Afghan family" on its hands after leaking 92,000 classified documents. The Taliban has now confirmed it is poring through the documents, and intends to hunt down and punish any suspected spies named......"

"The Taliban has recently pursued a policy of intimidating those who cooperate with the NATO forces in an attempt to undermine efforts at governance. Many local officials have been killed, and most have been threatened. The militant group is known to execute informants, reports Channel 4, by hanging, beheading, and shooting. It has even, on one recent occasion, strapped "two alleged traitors to explosives before detonating them in public." "

Read the article. By releasing the information, Wikileaks, Manning and anyone else involved in this treasonous act should be held entirely responsible for any deaths to those who were working with our military. The Taliban will surely retaliate in a most vicious way.

Really? How about the fact that the leak namesd the names of those who were helping us? Do you think there will be no retaliation against them and their families? Think again.

How can you commit treason if you are NOT an American citizen and breaking no laws that govern you? You must think that the Pentagon has a right to hunt the founder down and bring him to justice. Guess what? THEY CAN'T. They are flexing muscles with no bite to their bark. It is funny to watch.
