After 2007's marijuana decriminalization bill was thrown out due to a threat by Connecticuts ex NORML chapter leader Dominic Vita, there seemed little hope for any decriminalization effort for a long time. Recently SB476 has introduced which decriminalizes small amounts of marijuana making it only an infraction.

As long as no one sends anyone any threatening letters we should do well! :)
On top of that, Governor Jodi Rell will be stepping down this summer!
When a Medical marijuana bill came her way in 2008 she vetoed it claiming that there are many other ways to treat pain and nausea associated with cancer and HIV/AIDS and that allowing people to use this substance would send the wrong message to our youth. Governor Rell is a cancer survivor herself.
