UAE and Saudi Arabia to ban Blackberry users from sending messages over 'national security' fears

More than a million BlackBerry users may have key services in Saudi Arabia and the UAE cut off after authorities demanded access to encrypted messages sent over the device.BlackBerry's Messenger application has spread rapidly in the Gulf Arab region but because the data is encrypted and sent to offshore servers, it cannot be tracked locally.

    • This is so totally ridicolous now! If they pay for the service then why can't they contact whoever they want to? I think that they should start their own network then they won't have to answer to nobody? I hope that they do, then Blackberry can kiss off for their stupidity against anyone for something that isn't going on?
