Birds of prey for Gwynedd pub gull menace

In a Welsh town Herring Gulls have become a nuisance for businesses with outdoor areas for food. Plates have been broken and customers food was stolen by hungry Herring Gulls.

There are laws against killing gulls, but the town has found a way to humanly scare the gulls from the area. Yep, it's another story about people hiring owls and hawks to scare away seagulls in a coastal town.

"Mr Evans believes that if the birds of prey prove effective, Gwynedd council should pay to hire them regularly - as is the case in neighbouring Conwy."-BBC

With historical jobs like falconry on the rise, I can only assume moats will be re introduced to prevent troublesome foxes from getting into gardens and bothering pet rabbits.
