The United States is hanging on by a thread to its First World status. Saddled by debt, engaged in wars on multiple fronts, declining economic productivity, and wild currency fluctuations all threaten America’s financial future.
Unemployment numbers, food stamps, and home foreclosures continue to reach new record highs. The ugly reality of those numbers was recently on display when 30,000 people showed up to apply for public housing in East Point, GA for 455 available vouchers. Fights broke out, people were fainting from the heat while in line, and riot police showed up to handle the angry poor.
The current stated unemployment rate is 9.5%. That amounts to 14.6 million persons who want to work that cannot find jobs. Of course this is just a number and the real life story is much worse. The real Unemployment number is close to 20%.
A commentary at MarketWatch has put forth a plan to solve the unemployment issue, and it is generating alot of buzz. Basically the idea is this...

Oh yeah, it definitely ludicrous. What gets me is how folks believe shit like this. Like if a business has 10% lower payroll of course they'll use that money to hire more people, because the point of business is to hire more people, not make more money.

That is the stupidest thing I have heard in awhile! If we cut everyone’s pay by 10% that money will only gravitate up to the richest 2%, while the rest of us will be left pounding sand. Moriches Daily is either for the evil wealthy or they have such good pot I want to smoke some!!!
