Julia Gillard has continued her parties idea for Australia one day becoming a republic by separating from UK monarchy. She said the right time for Australia to become a republic would be the end of Queen Elizabeth II rein.

"I think the appropriate time for this nation to move to be a republic is when we see the monarch change. Obviously I'm hoping for Queen Elizabeth that she lives a long and happy life, and having watched her mother I think there's every chance that she will."-Guardian

However, opponents to Julia Gillard are said to be monarchists and would not want to see a change to the 'statue quo'

agreed 100% and they complain so much in the newspapers about poor undereducated families living off the "tax payers" benefits, if only people knew what their taxes really went to.

Benefit fraudsters don't usually pay a fair few million pounds in taxes from their estates, there's also the tourist-dollars the royal family bring in, meaning they give to the country more than they take.
Obviously I don't agree with Anne, playboy-Andrew and the other one nobody remembers the name of getting public cash, but the benefits of having a monarchy far outweigh any benefits we'll have if we get rid of them, that's if there are any. Would you like to make the tax-shortfall?

okay, please read this link I have sent you, it's important if that is what you really think about the Queen and Royal family. No one knows the Queen's real wealth, and that is how they like it.
The Queen has NEVER EVER EVER EVER given the country more than she takes, remember this woman is the ruler of 16 realms, and makes money from all of these country's taxpayers, even if she opened up buckingham palace and charged everyone she would still not be even close to the money she steals from this country, money that is supposedly 'ours' yet she's "keeping a hold of it" and remember she owns most of London and have you seen the price of property in london?? the list of this vile monarchy goes on and on just bloody research it before you try and get funny with me by asking "would i like to make the tax short fall"?? seriously just read the link with an open mind, if you still think that our Queenie is a sweet old dear then there really is no hope.
      sorry for the long post.

So I read your link, and it has no reference to monies owed or borrowed.
You mention house-prices in London. House-prices have risen in the whole of England. The fact London is the capital city, and therefore the central hub of business and commerce for the entire country, means the price of houses will go up more than most cities.
