“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27, emphasis mine).
According to both Scripture and biology, there are just two genders, two and only two, male and female. Period.
Pro-family advocates have from the beginning opposed the normalizing of
transgenderism because it does gross violence to any rational view of human sexuality, and, even worse, will force women to share shower, bathroom and locker-room facilities with biological males.
Nonsense, we’ve been told by the deviancy cabal. All hype, fear, and exaggeration. Nothing to fear here except homophobia, move along. It’s all just fear-mongering, nothing like that will ever happen. Your daughter will never run into a disrobed male in the locker room of your local public pool.
This is an ongoing battle in our day, at the state level as well as the congressional level. This spring, Maine very nearly enacted a policy that would require ENDA-type regulations in every school in the state, including private Christian schools. It was narrowly turned back.
A major goal of the Democrats in the current Congress is to get a transvestite-friendly ENDA bill passed this year. No worries, they say. Pro-family opponents are just trying to scare you with all this bathroom and locker room talk.
And then along comes Rep. Barney Frank, the homosexual congressman from Massachusetts, to inadvertently save the day.
Democrats tried to pass ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) in 1999, and were under extreme pressure to include transgenders under its umbrella. Transgenders are people who are so psychologically and mentally confused they think they are trapped in a body of the wrong sex.

So we are talking here about biological males - males in every single cell of their bodies, with every strand of DNA male to the core, males according to “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” - who are convinced that they are women trapped in male bodies. Consequently, they want to act as women, dress as women, and use the same facilities women use, including bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
The pro-family community has spoken with one voice. No, no, a thousand times no. We do not want our wives and daughters exposed to such perversion. We insist on a decent protection for the privacy of the females in our families, and do not believe that males have any moral, ethical or legal right to share shower facilities with them.
In a long-buried piece from the homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows, dated June 10, 1999, Mr. Frank lets the proverbial cat out of the cathouse.
In fending off transgendered activists, Frank told the paper it would be impossible to pass an ENDA bill which included special protections for such sexually abnormal individuals.
Here’s what he had to say:
"I’ve talked with transgender activists and what they want—and what we will be forced to defend—is for people with penis’ who identify as women to be able to shower with other women. There are no votes for that. And if that is the price for this bill, it is wrong.” (Emphasis mine)
Read that again: ENDA, as currently fashioned, is about “people with penis’ who identify as women to be able to shower with other women.”
Rep. Frank said since that’s what this bill is about, we’d have to defend that. They didn’t have the votes to do it in 1999. But they’re back, trying to break down the door to your daughter’s locker room in 2010.
So if you want your daughter to share a shower at your school, or at the local YMCA, with “people with penis’,” then Barney Frank and his ruling class colleagues are the kind of congressmen you want. But if you want any kind of sane public policy on human sexuality, then they’re not.
For my money, this is the ENDA the discussion about whether the Employment Non-Discrimination Act is good public policy. Let’s protect our wives and daughters and drive this misbegotten piece of legislation into oblivion.

      That is a reality, they are suggesting just that and equal acces to restrooms in buildings and common areas.. Unisex living. . We are being pushed to support a Gay agenda which is BS. I have wonderful friends who are in fact Gay, but I will never accept that life style as acceptable.
      Do I condemn them ? No, do I agree with them NO. To each his own but do not attempt to push your agenda on others.

      wtf are you talking about? a transgendered female would have the penis inverted but not transplanted. something tells me you most likely meant a trans man. trans men cannot have a penis transplanted to them. there isn't any kind of technology to add a body part to a human

      FYI, there are male-to-female transgendered, female-to-male transgendered, and intersex people, and androgynous, people, and all kinds of people.

      And sexual reassignment surgery does NOT involve "removal" or "transplanting" of penises.

      Male parts and female parts are homologous to each other- not much gets removed, stuff mostly gets moved around and reshaped.

      And trust me- no one of any sex or gender would ever want to get a peek at you.

    • ENDA is about ending the systematic discrimination that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Americans face when seeking employment or a place to live. Realizing that even a vast majority of Republicans in the United States are for this kind of protection, the fringe AFA resorts to childish nudity scenarios in the hope that will make you feel icky inside. If the prospect of seeing naked people in a shower is the greatest threat they can imagine, then I think it's safe to say they've lost this argument with any sane person. Even for the AFA, this is pathetic drivel.

      Polls show that a majority of self-proclaimed Republicans favor job and housing protections for GLBT Americans. Even larger majorities of the American people at large favor those protections. Your obsession with the imaginary menace of "penis weilding confused disfunctional people" is quite amusing, but it has nothing to do with the legislation. I'll leave the obvious speculation about why you harbor such zealous and...colorful objections to rather dry legislation for others.

    • The author could not be more scientifically wrong. "Gender" is not nor has it ever been so black and white from the anatomical and physiological level down to the genetic level.

      I happen to have some considerable personal experience in these matters. Yes, the actual lack of cut and dry lines dividing the so-called "genders" can be disorienting and denigration by one's fellow human beings spirit crushing, but the situation can hardly be described as the delusions of crazy people.

      I suggest the author acquire considerably more education in these matters before they pronounce such harsh and potentially damaging judgment against those about which they likely know little to nothing.

      No, there are NOT just two sexes.

      Males are defined as the XY chromosomal pattern, females are XX.

      There are individuals who are X, XXX, and XXXX.
      There are individuals who are XXY, XYY, and XXYY.

      There are individuals who are XX, but a few genes from a Y chromosome transferred over to an X chromosome, so they physically appear to be male.

      There are individuals who are XY, but a few genes from the Y chromosome are missing or disabled, so they physically appear to be female.

      There are individuals who are mosaics- meaning some cells have one set of chromosomes, others have a different set.

      There are individuals who are genetically completely of one sex, but because of a hormonal imbalance in the mother while in the womb, they can physically appear to be the other sex.

      There are babies born every day who have ambiguous genitalia- by looking, you cannot tell if they are male or female. It would take a genetic test, and for the reasons above, even that can be inconclusive.

      There are MILLIONS of people in this country who are NOT male or female, and they have human rights just like everyone else.

      Their rights should not be denied simply because you are to ignorant to realize that they exist.

      If you self identify as that kind of Christian, you are not for life, you are not for quality of life, you are not for equality, you are for death. Your great god of the resurrection is honored by you when you bring him more suffering and death. You lay your works upon his alter, and ask your god if it is good.
      Good people there will be no unisexed restrooms or showers unless you seek them out. When I had a penis, I used the men’s restroom. Now I have a vagina, so I use the women’s restroom. I have never been to a public shower or pool. Like most Trans people I am shy in many ways, “passive” is the term most used by psychologists. No one is going to let a physical male use a women’s shower anyway. There is not threat, save for your right to fairness in the work place and bigotry.

      You are completely confusing sexual orientation and gender identification, because, as usual, you have no clue what you are talking about, yet have blind fears anyway.

      If someone is a female-identified transgendered or intersex person, they usualy would be attracted to MEN.

      The chances of them being attracted to woman are no different from the female population at large, and Lesbians can already use female facilities.

      So, will you get rid of all group showers completely, and only have individual separate shower stalls?

      What do you do about men in general, out in the real world, anyway?

      How about NOT in the shower, but out in the real world, if a guy looks at her in her bathing suit on the beach? Or in her cute little private school uniform?
      Perhaps your daughter should wear a burka?

      Here is the problem with your "problem"-
      If some individual does something inapropriate, call the cops.
      If someone is just taking a piss or taking a shower, leave them alone.

      Simply existing is not a crime.
      Your fear of potential crimes does not make someone a criminal.
