If he was there and was aware she was trying to break in, why didn't he call the cops? Why did it take 3 days for the house sitter to find her?

The article does not go into details but it is possible that she banged on the front door and he escaped from the back door trying to avoid confrontation and obviously her uncontrolled behavior. He could have been long gone when she decided to try "alternative" entrance - chimney.

She's gotta be nuts. I really don't know why people think the chimney is a good idea. It's much easier to jimmy a locked door or pop through a window. I wouldn't know anything about that of course *shifty eyes*

I never said I was glad about her death....I said given this was a rather illogical, over the top, and ill-conceived plan its a much better guess she would have been a republican --because it seems lately the its the Republican and Tea Party candidates that have that market cornered. And I inferred that curtisreed was obviously confused and thought only those who might vote for President Obama in the future would do something this silly.

I got where you were coming from, and yes an idiot would politicize a death unnecessarily; however falling strait into someone else's ploy isn't a very intelligent move either.

I saw this on AOL and apparently this woman, the owner of the house, the journalist who wrote the story and possibly even the police all think the chimney was an entrance because the journalist wrote that "While she was trying to break in, the man she was pursuing escaped unnoticed from another exit "to avoid a confrontation," authorities said."

thus they all believed a chimney qualified as a initial exit or entrance.

What has possessed her to gain entry into the boyfriend's home? He sure felt the need to escape...

Maybe the home owner tricked her into trying the chimney. I build chimneys and really have a hard time Imagining a SOBER adult trying to pass through a chimney.

That I don't know--I wasn't there. Nor am I a psychic.

I think there is a whole lot more to this story than the media is reporting and the only reason it made the news at this point in the investigation is because we live in a media saturated society where stories get put out there by irresponsible journalists or news company corporations to bump up advertising revenue and/or bump up the number of "hits" a story gets on the internet.

But mostly I think the true tragedy is that nobody at any level of this intervened to help this misguided woman and obviously harassed man resolve their problems before one of them ended up dead.

Beautiful; You think with compassion. Humans ARE a tricky lot. There is most always more to the story. Our society IS socially disconnected because of media and work time demand. I think we are all falling through the cracks in a completely flawed system.
