Ann Coulter: Obama Is Atheist, Not Muslim

Nearly one in five Americans think President Obama is a Muslim, according to a recent poll -- but conservative commentator Ann Coulter says instead that he is an atheist.

"The nonsense about President Obama being a Muslim has got to stop," Coulter wrote on the conservative website TownHall.com. "I rise to defend him from this absurd accusation by pointing out that he is obviously an atheist."

Coulter, known for her brash, often humor-tinged commentary, wrote that the "only evidence for Obama's Christianity is that he faithfully attended the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ for 20 years."

While 20 years of attendance at a church may seem like good evidence, Coulter ruthlessly slams Wright, reducing his sermons to "hate-filled demagoguery."

Coulter makes the case that questioning a public person's religion should not be out of bounds, pointing to Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, televangelists who were disgraced in a series of sex and money scandals, as examples of people practicing false Christianity.

"No sentient human is required to take Obama's profession of Christianity any more seriously than if it were coming from a 1980s blow-dried, money-grubbing televangelist with a mistress on the side," she wrote.

After making her case about the president, Coulter declares, "All liberals are atheists... There's only one true Christian liberal in the country and that's Mike Huckabee."

      Heck, throw in Satanist and member of the Illuminati for good measure.

      because it certainly couldn't possible be that his religion is exactly what he says his religion is- nah, that would be treating him just like every other human being, and we can't do THAT.

      He MUST be lying about his religion, because he's a black guy with a funny name.

      ... and, of course, HE EATS BABIES!

    • Ann Coulter is deranged, considering that conservatives hate the LGBT; she has to be caught up in some serious self loathing. I mean just look at that Adams apple! And what, this Tranny can’t afford a trach shave with all her cash?
      On the serious side, Ann Coulter, even if she does not pass completely, is a pathological money grubber just like Mary Cheney. Who they are and who they screw, literally and figuratively, has everything to do with their evil lying BS. She will step over the dead to make money, just like dear old Mary Cheney’s daddy did in Iraq.
      Personally, I hope Obama is an atheist. At least then he will not be wasting time and effort over superstition. He will also not think he can talk to god, like George Bush! Remember how well that worked out?

      even if the atheist/agnostic/non-religious majority is in the left, it doesn't apply to all of them, some of them aren't even liberal! but they of course will consider any true Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, or non-Republican as some loony human full of deviant bullshit against humanity.

      Ann Coulter really pisses me off, but I realize a bit more that her idiot viewpoints are kind of funny.

      Yep.
      This country is still about 75% Christian.
      We are currently split about 50/50 between Liberal and Conservative.

      That means even if EVERY single Conservative is a Christian,
      and EVERY single non-Christian is Liberal,
      That would still leave half of all Liberals being Christians.

      But, that would be math- and that's too hard for most Conservatives to grasp.

      There is no 50/50 here. Liberals are few. That is the good news!

      These polls are done over and over, with the same results.
      If people are asked "are you liberal or conservative" they pick conservative- because conservatives have demonized the word "liberal".

      Yet, if people are asked their views on specific issues, they lean more towards Liberalism.

      Plus, Liberalism and Conservatism have a generational component- and the baby boomers tend toward Conservative, while college kids tend toward Liberal.

      As the baby boomers die off, so will the conservatives.

      That "trickle down,10 for me and 1 for you shit" is what started the mess that this world is in today. It didn't matter where you were from. If you were not affluent or wealthy, Reagan didn't give a damn about you.

      Wasn't it already stated that Obama was skeptical on the belief of any god, he wrote something like that in his book. I had it, read it, but when my apartment building went down in the flames it was one of the things I left in there.
