You persist in your Islam apologetics freecrack, and because you profess to be a Jew I find it perplexing that you feel that Judaism and Islamism traditions as "almost" one and the same... when in my opinion that is totally disingenuous, although their original heritage may have been similar in the beginning, that has not been the case for scores of centuries.

Throughout the passage of time Judaism has made gargantuan strides moving themselves forward for the benefit to humanity, whereas Islam has plundered and reaped horrendous destruction to the total detriment of the whole of many of the great societies throughout history, as you very well know... just as they continue to this day.

i know what you mean, but im no apologist as i dont see islam as having done anything more wrong than any other religion.if thier existed a religion that had all perfectly happy people at harmony with thier existance i would fault all others.being as islam is mired by the same flaws christianity, and judaism have been subject to, and no actual scale exists by wich rightiousness can be quantified, it is just another in a series.

the traditions are the same, but the cultures are vastly different.just like the falasha jews were unrecognizable to contemperary jews.the ethiopian following of judaism had some different african specific stories, and ceremonial dress and process that is unlike any judaism practiced any place else.israel waited till they could do genetic testing before opening up its borders to them they were so different.
as tradition goes, who else keeps kosher.who else observes the sabbath.who else faces west when praying.who else keep thier heads covered.i mean really "allah is great" and "lord king of the universe".jews and muslums are two sides of the same coin.

i know you arent gong to agree with this, but that is the case with all religion.the jews, the christians,and islam have thier intillectual periods, and devolved dark periods.while christianity was blossoming in europe before the dark ages, judaism languished and didnt progress for almost a thousnd years.from 1000 to the 1500's judaism had an intillectual revival with more teachings to understand than ever before.lithuanian rabbis are revered to this day.

christianity then had its burst with martin luther, but after a few crusades and an inquasition.
islam has had its intillectual periods that gave birth to civilization as we know it to algebra.they have commentaries on the quran just as we have on our books, but fundamentalists have erradicated them presently.kind of like galaleo and other such heritics.

is jihad part of islam, yes.is martyrdom part of christianity yes as christianity is based on it in jesus's self sacrifice for a higher purpose.it doesnt mean that when some christians do evil things it is because christianity is evil any more than the 20% of muslims being in a state of violent disarray mean islam is that.

I agree. Yeah they share a common ancestry, but apart from that their ideologies are pretty different. Besides that (and like you pointed out) Jew (at least in modern times in western culture) have worked for the betterment of society, whereas Islam even in the modern era carries over barbaric practices, punishments, demands, rules, and regulations on its people that prevent so much of their culture from prospering in a modern society. Obviously there are huge exceptions to that, but for Islam it the exception whereas with Jews it's more or less the norm.
