Great find Kenny. There is some very compelling information 30 to 40 minutes in about the hijacker who got cold feet. Still watching. One hour and fourteen minutes in, Fox News reports a link between Israel and the attack. I was not expecting that clip!

America is so full of tards. Its astounding how little our own people know about what is actually happening in our own government. Ask which celebrity is fucking or not fucking the other and they all seem to be perfectly clear on that though. Which is fine if they would stop talking about the things they know absolutely nothing about.

I've got 2 stepkids from a Dutch speaking country in South America. Unbelievably strong in math AND English (their second language). I know grown men, people that I ride with, people that I've worked for, a few that have graduated from college, others that didn't finish high school, that couldn't tell you who the Vice President is, couldn't tell you who the mayor of the city that they live in is. City Council members? No way. But they can tell you how to get to the highest level of Tiger Woods golf, or Halo. Very useful information, you can earn a lot of money with that knowledge.
The state of Education in this area is real bad. A very large number of illegal aliens, a statistic that 95% of high school students do not go to even Junior College after high school, I'm not sure if that includes the people that dropped out, or if that is only High School grads, is the norm in this area. I know adults that are functionally illiterate, even though they graduated High School. My kids tell me that they were doing in 8th grade, what the kids here are doing as Seniors in High School, and they came from a 3rd world country. I guess the "No Child Left Behind" scenario, has it's disadvantages.
I think we need to start focusing on Education. We are raising a generation of idiots, that think they should get everything for free. Without effort, without work. Some people worry more about Medical Marijuana, gays getting married, re-distributing wealth (isn't going to happen), building a Mosque in New York City (not my concern, I don't live there, and never will), what's happening in Sudan (again, not my concern), than about improving their own living conditions, their city, their state. I feel that the Government is corrupt, big business makes all the major decisions, whether the player is Republican or Democrat, I know my city is going to shit, my state is going to shit, and although it seems a shame, my foreign born stepkids are way more knowledgeable about the United States, it's history, it's Government, and it's people, than most Real Americans that I know.

I'm confused--what is your point?
How is complaining about people you "know" that are obviously not you and therefore they inherently do not exactly possess the exact same amount of knowledge you do or really care if your opinion is they worry/care/don't care about the same things you do--going to do anything to actually implement your wish/hope/dream/desire that they starting "improving their own living conditions, their city, their state"
And how does the fact you seem to want all these things to happen but YOU yourself are not running for political office to improve YOUR government or stating how you personally took steps to improve YOUR living conditions or YOUR city or YOUR state--and thus YOU could lead by example and teach others what worked and what did not -- actually accomplish anything of value either?
I swear lately the level of hypocrisy in all its forms and from pretty much all sides of the political, social, and knowledge sectors-- just amazes me lately.

Have some common sense, common sense. Part of it was about education. How can you give someone a diploma that can barely read? Sounds like a problem with the education system we have. Partially. I knew how to read at an at least normal level, when I was in elementary school. How do you get to college without learning how to read on a high level? Partially schools fault, partially the kids fault. A lot of people make an art out of doing the very least that they can, while still making passing grades. How does that work in real life, the work force?
It's not about them knowing the same things that I know. It's about paying attention to what actually matters. Medical Marijuana does not matter. The Mosque in NYC does not matter. Gays getting married does not matter, except to the gays involved. Sudan? Doesn't make a bit of difference to me. What does matter, is working on your surroundings, your city, your state, your life and what is going on in it. Are you improving yourself, and your situation? Are you satisfied with what you do, your job, your school?
How would you know what I've run for? I might be the head dog catcher here in Santa Maria, or I might be a welfare recipient. I might rail against illegal aliens, but then hire them when I need some cheap labor. All I know is that I'm doing what I like doing, as far as work, recreation, and the lifestyle I live. My living conditions are just fine. Do I want a bigger house, or more land? Sure, that would be tits. Could I use more money? Of course. But I'm living a very comfortable life, do what I want to do when I want to do it, and occasionally lighting some fires under people asses here on Current.
As far as accomplishing anything of value, I've got two kids in college, dogs to feed, house to pay for, and a machine shop in my garage. I've got a 40 hour job. Plus all the work I can stand to do in my garage. It's valuable to me, allows me to go to concerts (ZZ Top last Thursday) go ride my motorcycles, go to Vegas regularly, and eat whatever I want to eat.
Hypocrite? Yeah, OK. It works for me.

How about quality rather than quantity? I can't remember if population control is one of those rare ideas that is unpopular among the left and the right wing nuts. Kinda hope it catches on. Thought the bird flu might address the problem. But that was a failure to launch. HIV only made the drug companies richer, if that is even possible. We had a good kick off last century with the Spanish Flu. I heard some scientist were digging up victims of that in the Alaska permafrost. "Hey Henry, hand me that vial of that stuff we dug up in Alaska. Whoops! (sound of glass tube shattering." The West Nile virus is picking up steam in Greece. Pew is correct. Bush signed this bill in the beginning of Oct 2008. I don't know what the relevance of this is frankly it seem a bit superfluous. A lot of people evidently think that becausesome people don't like Obamas policies they are pro Bush. This is not necessarily correct. The fact that Bush signed this bank bill means nothing regarding Obamas efforts at bailouts and running up the debt. I can oly surmise that since Bush did it it is OK for Obama to do it. This leads me back to my conviction, for some time now, that the Obama supporters are not opposed to anything negative Bush did except for the fact that they did not do it first.

Congress (pretty much the same ones that put us into never ending war on false reports of WMD's) dropped their collective pants for the Fed, the Banks and Wall Street. So why the need to suddenly label every member of a group as one thing?
Not all Americans are stupid. Not all Muslim's are terrorists. Not all Republicans are Tea Party supporters. Not all liberals love President Obama. Not all Christians are Glenn Beck supporters.
With that said -- just as people tend to jump all over Glenn Beck for talking smack about President Obama or Nazis or the Founding Fathers or just about any other nonsensical irrelevant topic that he chooses just to stir shit up and get people biting on each other rather than working together to fix our economy and our ecosystem.....
Isn't that the exact same thing that these so called pollsters who deliberately ask loaded biased questions about nonsense and then when people answer those questions go oh well of course ALL Americans are stupid for expressing their opinion are doing?
In the end who cares about ANY of this stuff? And why aren't we debating an honest well thought out definition of hypocrisy instead of whether or not God exists?

And I would want to say it's something to do with 'our' diet but I remember reading that the caloric intake is fairly homogeneous over most of the country regardless of obesity or leanness of the states (read in a Time Magazine article) so I'd be more inclined to say it's predetermined genetic (or epigenetic) influences along with diet choice.
But, basically, what I'm trying to say is we don't just have an obesity crisis we also have a stupidity crisis in America that has gone unaddressed now for far too long. lol

They are part of the problem, but right wing radio is more prevalent across the country, with about 10 hours to one for liberal shows. That's by design, a lot of the right wing programs have lost big money, but big money keeps em on the air. For years when I have tried to discuss a political point to someone, they will completely come off the wall with something that just doesn't make sense. It puzzles me because most are fairly smart individuals, then something key they say matches up with a right wing lie and I go, well that explains a whole lot. Now I know why someone is so led astray, it makes perfect sense when you hear the right wing noise machine in the background. I guess it's more willful ignorance, they have on purpose lost the ability to sort crap from reality.

This has been in the works for decades. The decline and fall of the middle class in America has been a plan waiting to be put in motion by the elitists and with the subprime mortgage crime and the government banking also on the ignorance of the American people as a whole due to media distractions, it came full circle. So while I do blame Bush and his criminal cabal, times are still hard for many and that is what we must deal with now because they still got our money. Obama continuing the war in Afghanistan and stalling on a truly clean energy economy is also not helping this situation now. And although I know people on all sides want to point fingers at Obama and Bush because they just put party first and that includes the numbskulls who were at that rally last week, this country will continue to sink ever deeper into the muck the longer we continue to put party before principle.
And actually, any poll done of Americans isn't surprising to me anymore. All the way up to Obama taking office I think it was close to 60% who actually still believed that Iraq had WMD which was why we shock and awed them. And just one more comment which some may not like, but I don't play party favorites:. Obama has a relationship with Goldman Sachs just as deep as anyone, and received much in campaign cash from them and essentially still bows to corporations like Monsanto in buying policy that is hurting our economy and our environment and I do believe this government is now also covering for BP as well and the fossil fuel industry in general. Do we dismiss that just because he is a Democrat? So we can rightfully place much of the burden on Bush and a piece of it all the way up to Reagan and even prior, but in order for us to see any hope of bringing this country back to sanity we have got to stop giving free rides to politicians just because the letter after their name matches ours. And a national boycott of the bastards perpetuating this wouldn't be too bad either. Hit these companies where it hurts the most. Take it back!

No, we should not dismiss that because he is a Democrat. Obama is a centrist pretty much like Clinton was, lessor of two evil's and our first black President. When I hear the clear venomous outrage from the wing-nuts on the right, I really scratch my head. The country has been pushed so far to the right by corporate America Ronald Reagan couldn't have gotten elected on his record. Think that one over, a cut and runner in Lebanon, amnesty for illegals, traded arms for hostages in Iran. It's all been cleverly managed by the corporate media, Obama was forced to take many of his positions on the campaign trail because the minute he got out of line like for example Iraq.....one of the first politicians to speak out against the war....The pro-war corporate media forced the issue about leaving Iraq with honor. Bingo that's Barrack's position. We all watch the political battle for 18 months, and were twitching with pleasure at knowing we would get rid of Bush finally. But 8 years of continuos right wing rhetoric has damaged this country to the point there is basically no real left except the people.

The more I hear about the situation in Arizona, the more I feel it is another giant manipulation by our government to get us to buy in or buy out of whatever their next power motivated scheme is. It is beyond ridiculous that we can have the number of troops we do in the Middle East, and yet we cannot control our own borders or drug traffic. The whole situation has the same stench of Katrina and New Orleans.

I agree with you completely but for that to happen some party would have to commit political suicide to get it to pass and so far neither one is willing to make it happen. They'd rather let the problem get worse than to implement a better plan and risk their cozy job.

I wanted to just put up signs on the border saying "caution mine field ahead" and never actually plant mines but just make it look legit and occasionally toss some fireworks. Cheap yet effective

It almost makes you think that we need a competency test before allowing people to vote.
No not the Jim Crow kind, just something like name 2 supreme court justices, name 2 previous presidents, name 1 major bill passed in each of the past 4 years.
Percentage wise where your taxes higher or lower than last year. What is the largest expense on the past years budget.

It is but several years ago i stumbled upon an episode of a spin off series of X files called the lone gunman. I think it was the second episode, fast forward to the section at the end last 8 or 10 minutes. That aired in march of 2001, after you've seen that tell me it doesn't all make sense.

I too have thought this might be a good idea, but there are some definable problems with it.
Like how could we ensure that it doesn't get politicized...
For example:
1.) Do you believe in God.
2.) Is abortion wrong.
n.)...There just seems that there is no safe way to implement it, and keep it from being abused. I guess some answers are hard to come by though....

Thats true. But I do think some basic questions like the ones I outlines are generic enough that they could be set in stone.
Certain subjects or types of questions would have to be off limits. Anything related to religion, asking if something is wrong.
Notice my questions asked facts, and they require specific names of legislation, names of people, and your tax rate. None of which can be disputed.
You also make sure that the questions are known way ahead of time. Heck the question on the 4 major bills could serve as useful input to guide the government on what everyday people want and expect from them.
The decision for what constitutes major legislation could be decided by the number of times the bill name or number is mentioned in the media that year.

When news stations give those who spin negatives about President Obama a platform to spin, they are pumping up the deception. Even though they aren't the one's saying it, they are making the spin appear credible, leading people to think facts could go either way. George W. passed the bank bailout, he just left President Obama to deal with it, while he walked off into the sunset. How convenient.

I am thinking you mean how convenient for both Bush and Obama. Obama's Administration expanded the bail-out to include other corporations, making itself a part of the crime. Remember the expansion of the bail-out, or am I mistaken?

After 8 years of Bush/Cheney many things did need a bailout. George W.'s self-professed 'decidership', led us down the path to needing bailing out. President Obama didn't create the environment where so many were in financial trouble. That did happen under Bush/Cheney.

Absolutly! Bush/Cheney looted America, no doubt. Every economic problem we now have is rooted in that Administration. Never the less the story dealt with the bail-out and who approved it. Both Presidents approved it, was my point. It was smooth, you had to look hard. Bush on the way out approved and Obama once seated expanded it . The Corporation's got their money, and Bush (not Obama, even though he was responsible for half) got the blame.

The Republicans are blaming President Obama plenty. They are spinning as much of the blame on him as they can. When it comes to George W., they say, his shenanigans don't matter, that's the past, Barack Obama is President now. They act as though any criticism of George W. is 'picking on him'. I do agree with them, but it is the facts that are 'picking on him, not me.
