The Science of Child Abuse Forensic Interviewing

The suggestions finally worked: Children who initially denied that they were abused in any way finally said that they had been. Children tried hard to find answers that pleased the adult interviewers. One child said that “She made us eat boiled babies,” another said that “she put a sword in my rectum,” and a third said that she “played piano naked.”

"The interviews with the children in the Michaels case are some of the worst I have ever heard. The children were undoubtedly abused, but probably not until they met the investigators." Stephen J. Ceci

    • I really don't know why I read news, or stories like this. It's so incredibly frustrating to know things like this are happening all...the...time yet, nobody does anything. There are so many loopholes and confusing laws and groups are disconnected from other groups all trying to do the same thing. So, all that happens is one group says "Well, we're not suppose to take care of it. Those guys are." so you talk to the other group and they lead you to a different group, so on and so forth until most people are so exhausted with the fight that they just give up.
