Not that I would wear my service as you do but no I have not served in this military or any other. My father god rest his soul served two tours voluntarily in Vietnam and he told me that I should never abdicate my right and ability to choose who the enemy is. Soldiers like you who celebrate your part in killing any other human beings is a disgrace to the position of a soldier and warrior. My father never bragged about the killing he took part in he was humble and looked to make amends for these things in the eyes of god. Defending ones country by taking the lives of others is not something to take pride in it is a sorry necessity that must from time to time be done by those brave enough to take on that burden, not touted as some glorious or honorable thing that make you better than your fellow citizens. You are a war monger plain and simple and you dishonor your self with this behavior.

I would suggest you take course in reading comprehension. If you had been following my blog over the past two years, you would realize I'm anti-war. In my mission statement at the top of my blog I state I started the blog because the mainstream media in the United States has abandoned coverage of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. My posts and videos are a way of letting people know there is a war going on and as a service for the families of men and women in the military who find it impossible to find out what is happening in Afghanistan and Iraq. I have never once touted my own military experience, but use the pictures from my days in the military as a way to justify I know what I'm talking about because I have been there and done that. BTW: I'm a liberal who voted for Obama and would vote for him again. I can't stand the right wing especially Faux News and people like Rush Limbaugh. Have a good day and thank your father for his service to our country.

Ok Im gonna roll back a little on the hostility for a sec and say that if these things are what you support then why do you go about it in the way you do? I assumed when I went to your site that I was viewing more warmongering and right wing propaganda and chose not to subject myself to reading through that rhetoric so if I missed your mission statement there I apologizes. Second your posts in response to my critiques was abrasive (probably cause I was) and so it reinforced my thinking that you were of the right win warmongering type. Lastly I was honestly insulted that footage would be in any way presented as entertainment which is how putting it to music comes off to me. Thank you for your service and please accept my apology for not understanding your platform completely and not better explaining myself.

I also retract my acusations of you.

Thanks. I do NOT add the music. That is done by the people who make the videos and in 9 out 10 cases they are GIs serving on the front lines and add the music much like they do to just about every war movie you have ever seen. I repeat. These videos are made by the guys serving with the unit shown in the video and it is their choice to add the music. If they choose to use a song by Metallica as background for the movie, I feel they have earned the right to do just that.

ok good to know this is documentry from the troops my concern is that we not glorify violence for whatever perpose If one is educated in war at all they know what happen and how it looks. thoise who need constant reminders just dont care and enjoy the footage. let us all focus on how to get this discrace to stop altogether. any effort to that end that you engage in I hope meats great success.

being from the Korean War are you familliar with Utah Phillips? he is some one I greatly admire from that era and conflict. If you had not heard of him check him out he did both music folk song stuff and spoken word speeches ...Ani Defranco took some of his work and set it to music not bad stuff.

      here is a quote:
"The state can't give you freedom, and the state can't take it away. You're
born with it, like your eyes, like your ears. Freedom is something you
assume, then you wait for someone to try to take it away. The degree to
which you resist is the degree to which you are free..."
      — Utah Phillips
