Poor John Boehner is being demonized by Obama....whah whah whah.....as rightfully he should. Boehner is a an elitist and it doesn't matter one iota that he "pulled himself up from the bootstraps....kind of story to bring a tear to the eye of a GOP voter."

Boehner is and enemy to Freedom and Liberty in America....he is the world kind of demon that could ever get to be Speaker of the House.....pray that this never happens.

Boehner and the media elite that plant these stories should be called out for what they are....complete and utter BULL.

    • I am very excited about John Boehner becoming the next Speaker of the House, because he is a true reflection of what the majority of the American people want as a leader. Nancy Pelosi had her chance and the people have seen her leadership and are now strongly rejecting it. President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are are to be out the door for good. The Republicans are for the people and the Democrat party is for bigger government, more government run lives, and more government run business. The people are tired of special, tax-payer funded, political kick-backs to corrupt unions, wasteful government programs, and constant nagging to increase taxes and more wasteful government spending. John Boehner shows real emotion and real leadership, while Nancy Pelosi looks like a plastic surgery nightmare high on pills. The Republican Party platform is a true reflection of what the PEOPLE of the United States want - LESS TAXES, LESS SPENDING, LESS GOVERNMENT IN OUR LIVES, and MORE FREEDOM!

When W. took office, the government was on its way to paying off the national debt. war in Iraq, the biggest new health program since the 1960s, a Wall Street bailout and a raft of spending increases wiped away the surpluses, creating a $400 billion deficit by Bush's last year in office.

MOST Modern day Republicans are no more fiscally conservative than the average Democrat. The ONLY difference is what they waist the money on. Republicans who are serious about smaller less intrusive government MUST look else where for the time being.

    • Boehner is bad for America because he is the epitome of the GOP ideology of providing healthy Corporate Welfare at the expense of our nation's children, our nation's disabled and our nation's senior citizens who rely on their Social Security checks....now that all the pensions have gone bust thanks to Bush W's failed economic policies.

All the baby boomers that were counting on those pension funds, IRA's, investment funds...all went up in a cloud of smoke when the bankers raided the treasury with the help of the Federal Reserve....they got to siphon off 3 trillion dollars from our economy because of that what should be characterized as a robbery.

      Check your facts.
The democrats set up the policies that lead to the sub-prime fiasco and then used tax payers money to bail out their friend that owned the banks.
banks are only second to trial lawyers in donations to the democratic party.
The Clinton's went into office worth less the one $million when they left office they had a net worth of about $100 million. ( the Chinese government bought 90% of Hillary's book, wonder why?)
Bush left office no better off then when he came in.
Obama's net worth has already increased by 20 million since he has been in office. what do you want to bet that he will exceed the Clintons before he leaves office.
No wonder he tolerates the Afghanistan government's corruption.

    • In my view an extremist of any stripe is a danger to freedom! this country doesn't need more polarization instead it needs all Americans to come together and fix what is left of our democracy before it is gone forever! Currently the right hates the left, the right hates the tea party,we have lost the ability to function using common sense, instead we argue and fight while our democracy falls apart! Wake up people it is all a con game!

    • lest we forget....Ronald Reagan was a bootstraps up politician, and we are still reeling from the havoc he wrought on this nation, and his deaf, dumb and blind followers are still singing his praises, while most of the choir couldn't tell you one single thing he did to benefit this nation.

Reagan's detractors actually see the homeless and the poor on our city streets, and don't just step over them.

We have seen that "Trickle Down Economics" DOES NOT WORK... TWICE now. There is NO TRICKLE in Repugnant "Trickle Down Economics. That is the first Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIE that needs be stopped.

The second Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIE that needs be stopped is the one where they say it is the President's Administration who created the 13 Trillion Dollar Debt. It was the last Repugnant administration that created it, and Repugs and TBs are projecting their own misdeeds onto their opponents. Actually the TBs are just misguided dupes of International Corporate and Special Interests vying for control of OUR Government.

It is the 59% of OUR nation's budget dedicated to violence, aggression, and military might that protects International Corporate and Special Interest's wealth and power that has put US Citizens in dept, while the "General Welfare" promised by OUR Constitution is neglected and maligned. It is the flow of "Petro Dollars" to Foreign Entities like BP and the Arab Emirates that do not have OUR best interests at heart, and the Foreign Financing (CHINA!?) that pays for OUR addiction to OIL that has created US Citizen's debt. These Foreign Entities are intent upon stealing democracy and the wealth of the nation from US Citizens. Why would anyone with a modicum of intelligence buy into Repugnant and Tea Bagger LIES?

There are so many opportunities for OUR country and US Citizens to prosper, if we STOP LISTENING to International Corporate and Special Interest LIES!

Claims that global climate change is not man made, when man quite clearly started the ball rolling, are LIES that Repugs, TBs, and International Corporate Interests tell themselves so that they feel better about keeping the self-destructive status quo in control of world governments, and the world economy. They are the ones that claim OUR addiction to fossil fuels is good and essential for OUR survival, when in reality it is THEIR wealth, power, and survival they are attempting to guarantee at OUR expense.

Alternatives to the centralized control of energy resources are available now. Alternatives that serve ALL US Citizens, not just the few. These Alternatives offer every US Citizen a new opportunity to prosper, and protects Earth's environment while providing that opportunity for prosperity. Alternatives to the centralized control of world governments by International Corporate and Special Interests exists now. Do not let them be destroyed by the LIES that Fear and Greed tell!

    • Overcoming adversity is admirable, but it's not enough. It's procedural but not substantive. Every well to do slum lord will have a rags to riches tale autobiography that brings a tear to his eye. Adversity doesn't always create a predilection for virtue. Strength is morally agnostic.

Obviously you read it. If you read it, and feel that you have to add your two cents to the pot, then you must think that what those twelve people have to offer is pretty effective and important, despite what you say. The old phrase "deeds speak louder than words" seems to apply here.

Wait I think I have seen this lady..............she said something about lying is not respecting reality. So one of the people in the show ask her a hypothetical question,"If you were hiding jews in your home during WW2, and a Nazi soldier comes to your house and asks if there are Jews in your house, wouldn't you lie?"..In reply she said that god would show her a way...is she that dumb??

    • The thing that amuses me about this site is MOST of the posters have no trouble pointing to the bullshit the Republicans are up, but turn a blind eyer to the shenanigans of the Democrats.

Obama has signed off on extending the Patriot Act, MURDERING American Citizens suspected of being Terrorists WITHOUT trials, and illegally searching American Citizens laptops at border entry's points WITHOUT warrants or probable cause.

I am waiting for the outrage on here to come boiling over, but I fear cause it ain't W. I will not see it. “Hypocrisy is a fashionable vice, and all fashionable vices pass for virtue”

What exactly does this have to do with extending the Patriot Act, MURDERING American Citizens suspected of being Terrorists WITHOUT trials, and illegally searching American Citizens laptops at border entry's points WITHOUT warrants or probable cause?

Proof of what? That Obama is a threat to our Civil Liberty's or that the average poster on here is about as likely to point out the wrong doings of Obama as Limbaugh was to point out the wrongdoings of W.?

It could be one of the reasons you're not hearing any criticism of Obama is because this post is about Boehner, not Obama. I think you're so anxious to attack Obama it doesn't matter what the post is about.

how is he a threat to our civil liberties? That's the kind of comment that needs proof.

as for criticizing republicans. They're so dispicable and a heap or hypocrites. Yes dems are also filled with their share of bull, but only a fraction of the reps. Also, when the hannitys of the world accuse dems of something, that's all it is~ an accusation and then fox news gins it up for a week and it's all of a sudden news. But when someone in the GOP does something hypocrital there's proof. All the networks, websites, newspapers all have copies of previous statements, there is footage of the repubs lying, like they don't pay attention to how often they lie or something... They're almost all disgusting human beings.

I understand who owns Current so I am not surprised, but I am amused. I especially love when there is a thread about how biased some right wing rag is to Democrats.

I agree with Adolph Hitler on a few points as well. That does not mean I would sing his praises because he got a few things right. The fact that Obama is better than W. here and there does not mean he is good or great in general. Liberals have been sold a bill of goods and you have bought it hook line and sinker.

Israel is starting to catch hell from the left and the right. I think our financial subsidizing of their war crimes in Palestine is coming to an end in the near future. The only republican I can think of defending on here is Ron Paul and in truth he needs no defending.

Democrats like Claude Pepper & Dennis Kucinich are GREAT Demoncrats like Obama and Pololsi are asses! Republicans like Ron Paul are great Republithugs like W. & Dick Cheney are DICKS!

im not saying we cant manufacture our own ammo, despite manufacturing jobs somehow never making thier way back here.i use that example as indicitive of the nature of our relationship with israel.china making our mardi gras beads doesnt mean we have anything more than a business relationship with them. but when you farm out the means by wich we defend ourselves to a foriegn power i think that bond is pretty tight.outside of one of these nations giving the other the finger, that relationship isnt ending anytime soon.
