Here's another goodie from Christine O'Donnell, the conservative activist who has asked voters to look past her previous right-wing statements on sex: As recently as 2006 -- the first time she ran for Senate, losing the Republican primary -- she declared that homosexuality was an identity disorder. As Greg Sargent reports, O'Donnell said in an interview for the Wilmington News Journal in 2006 that homosexuality was a disorder. Greg has obtained the original quote from the reporter's notes:
"People are created in God's image. Homosexuality is an identity adopted through societal factors. It's an identity disorder."
The TPM Poll Average gives Democratic nominee Chris Coons a lead of 52.2%-38.8%.

Serious question: Why are we giving this woman so much publicity? Yeah, she's clearly on the fringe and has said some pretty crazy things. But with all this coverage, I think she's being paid a favor. She gets to play the victim card and appeal more and more to conservatives who can get fired up and get the vote out.
By all accounts, she's a longshot at best to win the Senate seat. Perhaps it's time we turned our attention elsewhere.

The fact that Bill Maher has bragged that he "created her" and that she is a close personal friend of his should be raising some eyebrows for conservatives and people who consider themselves "tea partiers." This woman is not some kind of anti-establishment candidate, she is just another mainstream media creation fake populist. She's another person who was plucked out of nowhere, like Sarah Palin and Barack Obama, had a persona created for her and is being catapulted out there for mass consumption. She's serving a particular agenda for sure.

I think the idea they're friends was a joke.
The thing that gets me is people like Palin (whose record as governor shows policy very much against what the Tea Party stands for) and O'Donnell get Tea Party support. They're just saying what these people want to hear no matter what their actions may be. Are they really that blind? This is very clear to me.

And believing in witchcraft, believing that masturbation is adultery and then running for the Senate rather than seeking regular employment is all an example of someone that does not take up quality print in the DSM 4.
Delaware is quickly becoming scariest state.
