Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad warned the Obama administration today that if Iran's nuclear facilities are attacked, the U.S. will face a war that "would know no boundaries."
The Iranian president, who is in New York for the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, spoke at a breakfast meeting with reporters and editors at Manhattan's Warwick Hotel.
He said that Iran is on the brink of becoming a nuclear power, and warned Israel and the U.S. against attacking its nuclear facilities.
Asked about the possibility of a U.S.-supported Israeli air strike against Iran, the fiery Iranian leader said an attack would be considered an act of war, and suggested the U.S. is unprepared for the consequences. Such a war "would know no boundaries," Ahmedinejad said. "War is not just bombs."
Iran claims it has no plans to make a nuclear weapon, but the country is faced with United Nations sanctions, spearheaded by the U.S., meant to convince Iran to comply with international regulations and abandon its nuclear program.
In a wide-ranging question-and-answer session, Ahmedinejad said he was prepared to meet with the Obama administration, but that "the whole outlook has to shift." Sanctions in particular, he said, had damaged the chances for an improvement in U.S.-Iranian relations.
He took some credit for last week's release of Sarah Shourd, one of three American hikers who were jailed 14 months ago and accused of espionage.
The decision to free Shourd, he said, was a judgment made by the judiciary and by Ahmedinejad himself. "A combination of both" a judicial act and an act of sympathy, he said.
Shourd, who still faces charges, had to guarantee a $500,000 bond before she was released. Her fiance and and another male friend remain in Iranian custody.
Ahmedinejad acknowledged the possibility that Palestinian leaders may ultimately make peace with Israel, he questioned the legitimacy of Palestinian negotiators and raised questions about the Holocaust that have marked his tenure as president.

Iran must not be allowed to get Nuclear Technology because they will export it to every Islamic terrorist group on the planet and it will be used against us! Obama is a Muslim and can't be trusted to defend our country from is Islamic friends and should be replaced by someone who will! Iran's Nuclear Facilities must be taken out before it is too late!

I'll give the guy some respect for doing the interview inside the U.S. with no teleprompter. We have people from the U.S. that won't even do an interview with no teleprompter.

What he says is no different from the U.S. rhetoric of "keeping every option on the table." All nations retaliate when attacked. Does anyone doubt for a second that the United States would wage a war "without boundaries" if we were attacked by another country? Good luck finding someone who will listen to that suggestion and not laugh in your face.
He's a crackpot dictator with nuclear ambitions, but even crackpot dictators retaliate when their nation is bombed. I am completely against his pursuit of nuclear weapons. I think he should be behind bars, at the very least, for his crimes against his own country. A violation of U.N. sanctions should definitely have consequences. But preemptively attacking his country is 1) against the law, 2) disastrous for middle eastern relations, and 3) obviously going to lead to an all-out war that we can neither afford to win, or have the capacity to win without nuclear holocaust. We've tried regime change invasions and counter-insurgency again and again since the war on Vietnam. How's it working out so far?

I agree with the President of Iran that America would be very foolish to enter into war with Iran and attack its nuclear facilities....I am convince it would galvanize the entire Muslim world and we will see the number of radicalized Muslims increase 10000%.

I am not a guy thats gonna say lets not defend ourselves and try to counter all forms of attack, but, I think that we are just setting this guy up. Farming off all of these middle eastern countries in the years of late makes me think we are just trying to get the whole set. Is this a case of us just agitating a snake? If so just count me out of it. Think about it, we have troops right outside of his country on two fronts. Of course he is angry and militant. I just dont wanna be the country thats known for killing anything that we can, just because we can. Is a diplomatic resolution out of the question? I am in the military and to me as a person who is trying to get out. Just starting a war with this guy.........just because......... is basically saying "look forward to your recruiter breathing down your neck....your never getting out"

2 minutes?? You're joking right? Please put LOL for J/K @ the end of that. We've been in Iraq for over 8 years. He's a nutcase? This guy runs a country. If you were ABC news with those comments guess who we'd be calling a nutcase right now? Yes.... You.
Do want to go over there and drop the 1st bomb? You ready to go door to door through the streets of Iran looking for enemies? Seriously, lay off the video games and get outside a little more often bro.

Ahmedinejad is a charismatic leader facing the U.N.'s disapproval with aplomb. This man means business, and seems to have an ace up his sleeve for the coming conflicts. My feelings are that he has allies committed that only the upper levels of world government know about, Iran is baiting us...(anyone thinking about our ''unsecure'' border to the south?)

First off, I am glad the Featured Stories were FINALLY updated, but why not just post the interview without the Fox-like, pick-and-choose, take-things-out-of-context commentary from prison planet? A Prison Planet article as a featured story? Really Current?
Anyway, it is pretty misleading to say Ahmedinejad "threatened U.S. with war." He said that if the US attacked Iran there would be a war. Iran wouldn't be the one starting it though, it would be the US.
EDIT: Just realized that Prison Planet was only Mirroring ABC....ABC...geesh...

Whoa, I am mistaken. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize Prison Planet was just mirroring ABC. This seems really biased for ABC News, I guess even the video was kinda one sided. I haven't watched ABC forever. Man, all news stations are getting worse.

Most news stations just use sound bites of the interviews. That way they are able to paint the picture they want to paint and get you back to the commercials. Each station has an agenda and puts there on "spin" on things. ABC seems to be beating the war drum. So let me guess what's coming down the pipe America.... Bin Laden is hiding out in Iran. Hence another war. 8 years from now he'll be in Syria. J/K
Also, this happens all the time when I post from prisonplanet.com or infowars.com. Someone see's the website and goes off on a tangent or starts taking shots at Alex Jones. Most of the stories are main stream news if people will only take the time to research for themselves. When it doubt..... Google that shit.

I agree with your first paragraph, but prison planet and info wars are no exceptions to this. Those sites have their agendas and pump out unsubstantiated propaganda all of the time. Like you were saying, their news might be mainstream, but it is their own biased take on it.
I know this is irrelevant, but Alex Jones and those websites remind me of those Christian televangelists preaching doomsday then asking for donations. Think about it, Jones' only answer is to "spread the word." How? By buying his videos and showing/giving them to friends.
