No institution conceived by man powered by money ever has enough money to fund everything to the fullest extent its membership could demand. What a "conservative" statement.
Good luck turning the notion of unlimited wants for spoiled America into a philosophy of addressing only practical needs. That requires jobs. Remember that silly statement "It's the economy stupid." How everybody laughed!
It's also about self discipline stupid. Those of us with jobs can't fund lack of that as well.
I am so optimistic...seriously-we will get through this. With backbone and fewer benefits. This is the future. I lost 800 grand. I will get over it because life was meant to be unpredictable as well as interesting. I will always remember those who never got the chance to be old.
Cry, cry, cry...not for me.
Yeah, point fingers anyway you want at which party caused our present economic problems. I could list 100 things. None of them have anything to do with national politics. It has to do with things like issuing 50 licenses to buy liquor in a community of 30,000. Sidewalks through industrial parks for 2 joggers. High schools attempting to teach Shakespeare to all instead of auto mechanics to the students interested in acquiring a useful trade. Building round-a-bouts at low traffic expressway exits instead of making motorists stop, look, and turn. It has to do with 1 million dollar lawsuits where the victim collects $160,000.

Sucked us dry and now they're all jumping ship before the crash.
"Lawrence H. Summers, one of President Obama's top economic advisers, collected roughly $5.2 million in compensation from hedge fund D.E. Shaw over the past year and was paid more than $2.7 million in speaking fees by several troubled Wall Street firms and other organizations. . . .
Financial institutions including JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch paid Summers for speaking appearances in 2008. Fees ranged from $45,000 for a Nov. 12 Merrill Lynch appearance to $135,000 for an April 16 visit to Goldman Sachs, according to his disclosure form."

Good riddance its about time Obama cleaned house get rid of Axelrod and Geithner. We'll be doing a much better job of dealing with these banks and other corporations that are blackmailing America into watering down the legislation meant to reign them in by refusing to loan money and help stimulate this economy and rebuild our middle class.
