Independent posted a story about a cat, (which was left abandoned by being thrown into a garden) dyed pink by its owners. The RSPCA said the dye is not toxic but might require a lot of washes to be removed and called the fur dying a 'sick prank'.

""The person responsible has covered her thoroughly all over but avoided putting any around the animal's eyes and nose.

"Further washing would stress Pink and probably would not help to remove the colour so it will be case of waiting for it to grow out."-Independent

However this isn't the first version of pet dying to appear online, were in US dog shows a poodle has been dyed to mimic a ninja turtle and a camel. With pictures from China of dogs dyed to look like Panda's.

Is it cruel to change a pet appearance for visual reason? or are the pets unaware of the change?
