The FBI and the U.S. Labor Department are investigating prominent labor leader Andy Stern in their probe of corruption at the Service Employees International Union, according to two people who have been interviewed by federal agents.

The two organized labor officials met with federal agents this summer to answer questions about a six-figure book contract that Stern landed in 2006 and his role in approving money to pay the salary of an SEIU leader in California who allegedly performed no work.
Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the investigation. The FBI and the Labor Department's office of inspector general declined to comment for the record.

The disclosure about the federal inquiry of Stern — who abruptly resigned as president of the 2.2-million member SEIU in April — comes just weeks ahead of contentious congressional elections in which the union is spending an estimated $44 million to support its favored Democratic candidates.

This is how things are swept under the rug by liberals. If the investigation or questions do not occur IMMEDIATELY, and the subject is a liberal, it is old news and therefore, not worthy of either belief or note. When this fails resorting to name calling and insults, to them, bolsters their argument and their position. If, however, the object is either a Republican, conservative or a supporter of the previously mentioned two classes, time means nothing and the investigation/questions are allowed under the concept of "the people need to know' or "this is a serious event that needs to be looked into because of the connection to the president because we all know that our side would NEVER do this".
Thereby endith the lession. There will be a quiz on this block of instruction.

    • I wonder, how many of the Agents cheated on their examinations.
      (09-27) 07:39 PDT WASHINGTON, (AP) --

A Justice Department investigation has found that FBI agents, including several supervisors, cheated on an important test covering the bureau's policies for conducting surveillance on Americans.

      ....

Fine called on the bureau to discipline the agents, throw out the results and come up with a new test to see if FBI agents understand new rules allowing them to conduct surveillance and open files on Americans without evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

The troubling review of the exam on surveillance rules follows Fine's report last week on the FBI's scrutiny of domestic activist groups. That investigation found that *****the FBI gave inaccurate information to Congress and the public when it claimed a possible terrorism link to justify monitoring an anti-war rally in Pittsburgh in 2002. That IG report also criticized the factual basis for opening or continuing FBI domestic terrorism investigations of some other nonviolent left-leaning groups.*****
