Jenny McCarthy is giving some good TMI deets in her new autobiography Love, Lust & Faking it: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance. The 37-year-old former Playmate and former MTV queen says that although she’s honest, she did hold back on the intimate details of her recent split from beau of five years, Jim Carrey. “If he wasn’t famous, he’d be splattered all over this book,” she told Oprah in a recent chat. “I’m always honest about everything. I just have to respect his privacy.”And the greatest revelation in the book is on how a Playboy photographer compared her taco to roadkill! Hmm…but what kind of roadkill? I envision a pancake-flat hairy skunk that has its guts split open.
She says after getting rejected by a modeling agency, she thought she would walk into the Chicago Playboy building across the street and just try her luck taking off her clothes instead. But a persnickety receptionist schooled her that a bish just can’t walk into The NY Times of tittay mags and expect to get hired.
As she marched out, an exec ran into a then 18-year-old Jenny and offered her a test shoot on the spot.
She explains:
“I put on a bikini… I didn’t know how to pose; it was like a mugshot.”
“I went home and within one hour, and this is not an exaggeration, Playboy called and said, ‘You’re Miss October!’”
But McCarthy admitted there was a huge shock in store for her the first time she disrobed for the magazine’s photographer.
She added, “He says, ‘Lose your undies…’ and all of a sudden I hear, ‘Woah!’
“I see them talk to the make-up artist and the make-up artist comes walking over and she goes, ‘They said they’d never saw anyone as hairy as you their entire life.’
“I said, ‘Well, I’m half Polish!’”
Jenny was paid $20,000 for the Miss October 1993 shoot, then went on to appear in Playboy again the following year.
