(THAINDIAN NEWS) At times pranks can be shockingly painful and fatal. The family of the student Kyle Dubois says that former’s heart stopped after he deliberately gave himself an electric shock in his science class after his teacher instigated him to do so. The family of an American student Kyle Dubois is taking legal actions against his teacher, the school district and the city of Dover in New Hampshire.
Kyle Dubois and his family gave the reason for suing the teacher Thomas Kelley as he did not warn him or the other students of the class of the dangers of electrical demonstration cords in their electrical trades’ class. Last March Kyle Dubois attached an electrical clamp to one of his nipple while another student attached another clamp to another nipple. A third student reportedly plugged the chord into the wall. Kyle Dubois’ classmates said that he endured the electrical shock for three seconds and then fell on the ground after suffering a heart attack.
Kyle Dubois’ family filed the legal documents in Strafford County Superior Court and in the documents it is maintained that the 18 year old student of Dover High School suffered permanent brain damage owing to that accident. The family also alleged the teacher Thomas Kelly by saying that the he encouraged Kyle Dubois and his friends in this incident which turned out to be life threatening. The court documents also say that the teacher did not warn the students about the dangers of electric shock. However, the teacher denied the charges completely and said that he was talking with another student when he heard the commotion. The teacher, Thomas Kelley resigned from his job about a month after the incident.
