The takeover bid would need a resolution of a legal dispute with current owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett of the 'Red Americans' as well as approval from the English Premier League. Liverpool are currently third from bottom in the EPL with only one win, two draws and one loss.

sounds like Hicks & Gillett might try and block the new buyers. It's weird seeing Liverpool fall down to the relegation zone (and get beaten by blackpool at home, ouch) I wonder if the new buyers will have any effect so they're not demoted out of the premier league.
