stewart does a great job of attacking easy targets but really he's just become shtick to me...can't really stomach the show anymore. i haven't watched in a few years because there were a lot of interviews where he would just completely softball it and then beat up on some moron who was clearly brought on as a punching bag.

What slope? -He was comparing "apples to apples", and Cantor could not support his claims without making himself into a hypocrite.

So what would you say the progressive movements big ideas have been since the 20's? Everything that is being suggested now was written in the 1860's. So hop off the they havnt had an idea BS, because liberalism is clutching on the basic idea that Castro does. As if the revolution started by woodrow Wilson forced apon this country by the ruling elite liberals hasn't ended. What grand idea have you come up with that wasnt thought of in the communist manifesto.

Considering that "Wilson's Revolution" included a command economy run by business executives and a sedition act that imprisoned you for criticizing Christianity and that it was all immediately repealed, I'd say that the amount of bullshit in this post is officially neck-deep.
Progressives thrive on new ideas, the 19th century progressives thought segregation was a good idea. Think things have changed a little bit since then?
Compare that to old Republicans. Forget the 1920's, President Bush was practically McKinley repackaged. That'd be 1896.

Actually from the reports I have been through it seems the GOP will likely take the House. As for the Senate, the Dems might end up with less of a majority, but a majority nevertheless. Personally, I would prefer the entire gov't would be replaced by independents, but Americans have to learn things the hard way. I know your getting all excited because the cheerleaders at Fox are telling you what you want to hear, but it seemed like you could you use a dose of reality.
