Finally, Some Goddamn Truth Expressed on U.S. TV News

bundlebear
Don’t freak with the BS topic of yesterday in this clip, wait until around 2:45 minutes in where Dylan Ratigan (the only mainstream journalist as far as I’m concerned has been calling out these Wall Street crooks for some time) goes on a well-deserved rant on MSNBC’s Morning Joe regarding the unsaid truth about America’s “War on Terror” — he directly calls out the “extraordinary failure of our politicians and our media” to explain the money route behind these operations.

Thank you, Mr. Ratigan.

    • What it really all boils down to is Sunni v Shiite. We (wrongly) got involved when we started sending money and weapons to both sides.

    • Also, Osama bin Laden first began his crusade against America because the Saudi govt. allowed US troops in Saudia Arabia, a country considered to be holy to all of Islam.

    • First off Wally if a bunch of radicals attacked this country I would attack those radicals and not the Saudi govt who is an ally of the US. Your statement implies that I supported invading Iraq, i don't. Also, Saudi doesn't own the US, China does. Mikey T you start of by insulting me. That just proves your ignorance, along with your grammar, so I don't feel the need to address your comments. Boothanew if you read what i wrote, my only issue was with Dylan claiming that the Saudi govt. backed wahabi radicals, that wahabi radicals were behind 9/11. Wahabism is not al-Qaeda. Wahabism is not an organization, it is an Islamic philosophy that started in the 18th century from a philosopher of the same name. It came about in response to Sufism and other practices that were believed to be contradictory to pure Medina style Islam. Yes, the Saudi govt. supports wahabism, that part is true. I don't know Osama, and I don't think I've even met someone from Saudi Arabia but I do know what I've read and I am aware of the facts as far as we know them. And that is In February 1998, al-Qaeda issued a statement under banner of "The World Islamic Front for Jihad Against the Jews and Crusaders" saying it was the duty of all Muslims to kill US citizens—civilian or military—and their allies everywhere. Saudi Arabia is our ally so why is Osama instructing al-Qaeda to attack the govt. that Dylan claims to be backing them? U.S. intelligence pointed to Osama and al-Qaeda being behind the attacks and if they weren't then why has Osama claimed that they were? If you are crazy conspirator type than no amount of reason can help you. Nephwrack Osama joined the wahabi movement in his youth but he was also rejected by them and stripped of his Saudi citizenship. Osama, nor al-Qaeda have used Saudi Arabia to further their ambitions. Afghanistan yes.

    • Micah_Richards:

The problem with your argument is that you presuppose that what is going on must fit into your own construction of a rational and reasonable approach...in other words the laws of engagement endorsed by your reasoning are something you cannot comprehend your side or the other side deviating from. I suggest you read (or re-read, if that is the case), "The Art of War."

    • Dylan Ratigan is incredibly ignorant and don't go congratulating him yet. He claims wahabi terrorists backed by the Saudi govt. were behind the 9/11 attacks. This couldn't be farther from the truth. The perpetrator of the 9/11 attacks was Osama Bin Laden, a Saudi national who had been stripped of his Saudi citizenship since 1994. The Saudi govt. has been one of, if not the greatest, ally of ours in the war against extremists. Yes 15 of the 19 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia but the Saudi govt. had nothing to do with it and continues to have nothing to do with it. I am convinced Dylan Ratigan does not know the meaning of wahabism or where it came from.

Micah you ignorant school boy bitch. Osama Bin Laden was not behind 9/11. Even if he was, but instead of Saudi Arabians he had 15 Americans board those planes that day, would you say Osama did it not the Americans? Sounds like perhaps you're in denial. If 15 men from West Virginia boarded planes in Moscow and plowed into buildings in Dubai, FIFTEEN MEN FROM AMERICA STILL FLEW INTO THOSE BUILDINGS. I wouldn't be very surprised to learn you or your wife are Saudi Arabian my friend. Time to start accepting and moving forward

    • Micah_Richards:

oh okay , you know Osama bin laden personally?

your in direct contact with the Saudi govt?

im not denying that their are extremists in all governments but the point of what he was saying is that there are people in america who are making ALOT of money by using scare tactics and fear mongering.
examples are , mega churches who get tax right offs and own a HUGE chunk of america's money.
Why do you think there are private "donations" given to politicians to boost their campaigns ?
Because the truth of this world (or atleast america) is the rich own the world.
the 1% of our population who own all the money that WE donate to them or buy their products.
and in turn they run the very politics that we so blindly assume we have any say so in.
all elections are , are what biggest bidder won.

im not going to vote you down because i dont agree with what your saying , but this is my opinion in the matter and the reason i believe this guy.
To me , the same 1% i was talking about are all sociopaths who see us as cattle and dont give a flying fuck about our well being.
why should they? it doesn't affect them if millions in america dont have jobs or are starving.yet we donate millions of dollars to other countries before we would ever donate to our own , hoping are money is going to a better cause.
Do you really think those people see even a fraction of our "donations" ?

you dont have to answer any of my questions either i guess i'm just trying to make a point in hopes that you'll understand why im so passionate about this.

everything you just stated, you understand, comes from what you have been told. Neither you, nor anyone else on this thread, has any actual access to the facts behind any of this, including 9/11. Were you sitting in George Senior's living room listening in on the conversation he was having with the bin Laden family the day the towers went down? Do you know anything other than what the media has told you to believe?

Politicians have a financial playground in America, thanks to the apathy and self indulgence promoted on the ''tube''. Turn It Off, Rub Your Third Eye, and THINK. (i do)

    • Finally someone has the courage to tell us what the news is all about.

it IS NOT about issues that affect our daily lives, it IS NOT about keeping the public 'informed', it IS NOT about keeping our government honest, or even about providing us 'factual' information on events taking place that do affect our daily lives.

IT IS all about the money, the iconic symbols for the extreme right vs. the extreme left and the 'sparks' that pruducers want to see, and the attempt to keep up UNINFORMED by talking about newsmakers and their shows.

it does make for great advertising income dollars.

sure wish that current could be THE NEWS OUTLET that informs us all without inuring extremists to spew their agendas.

      but what do i know....

Americans need to wake up to this fact or we will "invade ten more countries" like he said.

What's worse, it's part of the Wahabi agenda to ensure that we DON'T make a distinction because if we say we're at war with Islam, how do you think that makes the general populace of the Middle East feel?

    • These Jack Asses should be dealt with like morons, promoting Rightie Bullshit!

      Examples of JACKASS:
Some jackass spilled his drink on my shoes. Only a jackass would dive into a lake without first checking to see how deep the water is!

      Muslim community!

Don't worry about what we think of you, we make a big deal out of it and play the racial history card because it makes media sense & because it makes us all afraid.

This is not all white people, but the one's I've witnessed.

Why is that that they complain that racism taken towards us is more of a bigger deal, when they know damn right that it wasn't our ancestors who created the biggest racial tension to ever be presented on earth today..

I understand you guys, I know exactly what you mean.. But is that our fault?

No it's not, it's up to us to take it seriously, it's up to us to make a big deal out of it.

Why we make a play along & make a big deal out of it.
Lets not play the racial history card because it makes sense other's want to keep all of us afraid

      Do something about it speak-up.
People will remain ignorant for as long as they decide to, but as long as we have some real sense of respect in to you, you would not listen & remarks on bullshit.

DaDevil likes everyone to be afraid?!

All Muslims don't bear those signs, as all Americans don't bear anti-Islamic signage as well. It goes both ways. I agree with his overall sentiment though, but it's an ironic question he asks, given that the point he's trying to make is that not all Muslims are terrorists. Why try to lump all Americans together? It's a counter-productive point. That omitted, I'm down with his position.

he isn't saying that all Americans feel that way. but like O'riley said most do feel strongly against the Muslim community and any pro-Muslim activities and this is the case many time because like he said fear that has been instilled in many Americans because of events like 9/11. what he is saying is that people should stop being ignorant and get some real facts and not just hate speech spewed out by the conservatives.
