Barack Obama and his travelling delegation have book at least 800 rooms for the president's trip to Mumbai, according to reports, including the entire Taj Mahal hotel.

The president, who is scheduled to set off on a twice-postponed Asian tour with his wife Michelle after next week's midterms, has reportedly block-booked all 570 rooms in the Taj Mahal hotel as a security measure. On top of that, US navy ships will also be deployed, as the president is staying in a hotel by the ocean.

The 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks which claimed at least 173 lives, ended with a siege at the Taj Mahal hotel.

    • Yes it was much cheaper when the president spent 3 months a year on a ranch in Texas. Oops except for the trillions he spent on wars and tax cuts. my bad. People have been struggling for generations its only when the upper middle class begin to hurt that anyone notices. Notice I didnt say the rich because they have never struggled.

about the same or less than it has been since 2002. Would you suggest that we immediately pulled out and came home? PS Presidents dont set military budgets or spending that would be congress. It was a Republican president, house and senate who started both wars that Obama has to finish.

Apparently enough. That would be about 3.5 years now. However, everytime anyone even hinted at bringing troops home the Republicans began screaming about traiters and being soft on terrorism. Since politicians must be elected it makes it a bit difficult. Democrats didnt have a philibuster proof majority until 2009 but that didnt last too long either.

Its not a simple question. Only simple people think that everything has a simple answer. I dont think that Obama is just out to party while you struggle. Should the President move into a cardboard box on the White House lawn to make you feel better? Presidents dont legislate they are supposed to lead. If you are unhappy with the economy then certainly vote back in the party that made it that way because I am sure that this time they have the right answer to fix it unlike the last time when they destroyed it but I doubt it because they are still saying the same exact thing as last time.
