At least one of the priests named in the documents is still working, in Mexico, and is "ministering to children," but insists he's doing nothing inappropriate, reports AP. In de Francisco's case, the San Diego archdiocese convinced authorities to drop the charges if he was sent to his native Colombia, where he continued to work. In another case, Rev. Anthony Rodrigue ws repeatedly rotated to various parishes for years despite complaints of child abuse. He eventually admitted he had abused several children each year over two decades working in parishes. "He was probably one of the most prolific abusers in this diocese. They knew about this guy from his days in the seminary, but they kept him in ministry," said attorney Irwin Zalkin.

Cut the nonsense-close down the catholic church and focus on protecting innocent children. Time is of essence; relocation is no form of modification.

I would have no problem serving some citizen justice inside of a church. Sanctuary doesn't mean anything to me. Sometimes violence is totally necessary.

It must be strange working as a priest. Knowing everyday that you lie to people. Fill them with false hope. Taking their money because you cant work a real job. Wasting millions of dollars and acres of land building massive worthless structures. And then being part of a group that does horrible things to children. Because they know there is no eternal consequence. What a strange mentality.

Oh but dont you remeber the church is infalible see so what she did was right when she did it see. Just like that pope with 13 kids with 13 mothers that was right at the time to see. The church can do no wrong, does anyone else see the fundamental problem with such a policy?

Church's have a policy of shielding Clergy to avoid scandal at all cost.
However the Catholic church is no different than any other religion, faith discipline, or even the YMCA for that matter when it comes to individuals who
take advantage of children. Perverts are not tattooed with a sign on their foreheads. Psychological testing and mental evaluations can show a possible tendency, but are not accurately enough to suit me.
All I can say, is there have been those who abuse their Calling, but they are few compared to the majority. - 2 years ago

maybe all who are found guilty of child molestaion should be tattooed on the forehead. that way they will be easy to spot.

Its instances like this that have lead to the decline in religions. I know a lot of religious people blame the "moral decline" on (insert homosexuals, feminists, liberals or anything they come up with) without ever examining themselves. ironicly, a bible verse i remember from sunday school comes to mind, the one that states removing planks from your eye before you comment on others.

Personally, I have a policy of Open Doors. I will not meet with children alone..ever, or Women for that matter unless the door is wide open. You are correct that parents have an obligation to know where their kids are at all times. I meet Teens for confirmation interviews and again the Doors Are Open at all times. At no time are adults allowed to be one to one with the kids. Two adults at all times in all situations is my policy.

I say bring the church up on charges for aiding an abetting a criminal. then put all involved in jail. Then when they get out in fifty years make them register as sex offenders for the rest of there life.
