As long as the fart doesn't turn into one of those violent "shotgun" shits that destroys the toilet bowl and requires a shower after.

Well, destroying mankind might be a bit of a stretch. Granted, if agrarian production begins to falter and political instability rises as a result because of possible increase in food prices, then we will see problems. We could see food production move south and we would also see the conflict over the northern polar region end because it may freeze up altogether without a large melting period. Glaciers and winter times may increase further and cause harsher living conditions in the north. Anyways, there could be more implications but I doubt that human society will falter.

Nick19:
With basic agriculture in the US reduced by 80% as predicted, just North America would have a major food shortage. The poor countries will have massive starvation. No food = death. If you learn more about the predictions some estimate a possible 1/3 reduction in the human population in 10 years after a Toba like eruption. I think that is definitely a "falter" in human society. Not to mention the mass exstinction of many animals.

"If another Toba Super Volcano erupts the world as we know it will stop functioning".

Yeah Toba can destroy mankind...or Yellowstone... or one of a handful of Super Volcanoes. No point worrying about it.

Or maybe mankind's interference with the invention technology that would allow us to adapt to natural destruction should be a concern.

i beg 2 differ...in the overall scheme of things i c modern technology as a negative fo mankind...we need 2 go back 2 a simpler way of life, where nature keeps thingz in natural balance, not man!...i dare say that sometime in the future Ted Kaczynski's rant on modern tech will b required readin & he will b considered a prophet; albeit a mad one at that!

That whole area is getting pretty active, earthquakes and volcano's. I climbed up into the red zone two weeks before MT. St. Helens blew. That was nothing compared to what this one or Yellowstone could do.
