One in four stars may have Earth-like planets

    • Good post. I think 1 in 4 is too high. Double stars are more numerous than single stars (if what I heard last is still true). A second star in a system would interfere with the aggregation of matter and cause the formation of asteroid belts instead of planets, by my calculations.

      I think we're going to be a little disappointed to find the number of habitable planets are too far apart. We will never roam the galaxy with the Vulcans and Kling-ons.
