Buck McKeon to offer free abortions through election day
by SCV Unincorporated22 October 2010
In an effort to appeal to women voters, Representative Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-CA) has taken an unusual break from his staunch pro-life, anti-choice demagoguery to offer free abortions at his campaign offices in Santa Clarita and Palmdale.
“It’s campaign time and he’s feeling generous,” explained a staffer. “Last year, he gave out pumpkins.”
Any woman with an unwanted pregnancy can stop by either of the congressman’s offices between 9am and 3pm to request an abortion, which will be performed by McKeon, himself, in the back alleys adjacent to the respective locations.
McKeon is also courting the GLBT vote by running an HIV clinic out of the living room of his Santa Clarita residence, where he will be distributing free condoms with the Bill of Rights printed on them to gay high schoolers.
McKeon, who boasts of having 16 children and 93 grandchildren, said he has never seen a condom before, but feels this is a clever way to get gay teens to learn the Constitution.
Constituents are advised to take advantage of these free services as soon as possible, as they will be aborted on midnight, November 2.
“On November 3rd,” McKeon told one pregnant woman who had been waiting in line for an hour, “we’re taking the government out of big business and putting it back into your uterus.”

Buck McKeon’s Deputy Chief Accidentally Attends Anti-Buck McKeon Rally
by SCV Unincorporated15 July 2010
Bob Haueter (left) unwittingly attends an anti-Buck McKeon rally.
SANTA CLARITA — Bob Haueter, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon, accidentally attended an anti-McKeon rally over the weekend.
“I saw a bunch of protestors marching down Valencia Boulevard,” explained an embarrassed Haueter. “I thought they were tea-partiers, so I just grabbed a sign and joined them. In retrospect, I guess I should have read it first.”
McKeon took it all in stride. “After 18 years in office,” lamented the 9-term incumbent, “screw-ups like this happen all the time.”
The congressman said he was headed back to Washington to cast a “yes” vote on a bill that ”either increases defense spending or raises interest rates on student loans.”
“I haven’t really read the whole thing,” he admitted. “I leave that kind of stuff up to my Deputy Chief of Staff.”

Buck McKeon’s Hatred of Gays Adds to Tragedy of Teen’s Death
October 13, 2010
Congressman Opposes Bill that Could Spare Children from Torment
As I recently read the tragic story of a gay teenage boy who committed suicide due to the overwhelming bullying and harassment of his classmates, I couldn’t help but reflect upon Congressman Buck McKeon’s opposition to the Student Nondiscrimination Act of 2010 (H.R. 4530).
Under this bill, no school program that receives public funding would be allowed to exclude children because of their gender identity or sexual orientation, be they gay, transgender or straight. Harassment based on gender or sexual orientation, defined as “conduct that is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive to limit a student’s ability to participate,” would also not be allowed as a sanctioned element of a public school program. If schools discriminate or sanction harassment in their federally funded programs, federal education agencies would be given the authority to terminate their funding.
Source: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h4530/show
If passed, the legislation could prevent heartache for untold generations of children, yet McKeon vehemently opposes the bill and pathetically defends his position in a written response to any constituent who asks him to support it:
“While I know this sort of discrimination can, and does, take place, there are avenues that students and teachers may take if they feel they have been discriminated against, such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Education.”
– Buck McKeon
Buck conveniently left “Suicide” off his list.
Does our Congressman really expect a tormented and terrorized 13-year-old to contact the Department of Education and fill out a complaint form?
The young man referred to above resided in Tehachapi, California, just a few miles outside the 25th Congressional District, in a district represented by another homophobe, Congressman Kevin McCarthy.
This was not an isolated incident. In the last two months, there have been at least half-a-dozen gay deaths attributed to harassment. No one knows how many other students throughout the country feel threatened, intimidated and confronted with “conduct that is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive to limit a student’s ability to participate.”
Buck doesn’t seem to have a problem with that. Not only does he oppose legislation that could help, he has remained eerily silent on the whole issue. A Google search on “Buck McKeon +statement +gay +harrassment +suicide” returns nothing.
The problem goes beyond opposition to any particular legislation, and right to the core of a culture where discrimination is not only accepted, but encouraged. Is it coincidental that the rise in hate crimes against young gay men and women in this country coincides with the rise of the right-wing extremism we see in legislators like Buck Mckeon and his Tea Party pals, Christine O’Donnell, Carl Paladino and Sharron Angle? A wave of hatred is polluting the air, filtering down through local governments, permeating our schools and creating an environment where those who harbor animus in their hearts feel free to express it, often in the form of violent behavior and often directed at our gay, lesbian and transgender citizens.
Regardless of one’s political beliefs, it’s inexcusable that anyone would vote against legislation that could help prevent tragedies like this in the future.
While Buck rails against the “dangerous government takeover of health care,” he doesn’t flinch when a high school student is driven to take his or her own life.
I would normally suggest writing to your legislator to show your support for this bill, but, alas, such correspondence would prove fruitless, as McKeon has already made his position deadly clear. Until homophobic, anti-gay, anti-women, anti-minority, anti-labor, anti-working class legislators like Buck McKeon are defeated, the rights of all Americans to enjoy “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” are in serious jeopardy.
On November 2nd, 2010 we can create a better future for our children. We can cast our votes for Buck’s opponent, Jackie Conaway.
Stop the hatred. Stop Buck McKeon. Please vote.

I am so aggravated, so angry, so fed up with Fuck Buck McKeon! I'm stuck living in his district (I'm in Santa Clarita, California), and he is a horrible, horrible sub-human being. He's a racist; he's a bigot; he's a hater; he's everything ugly and what's wrong with conservatism/religion.
Knowing (sorry!) that he will undoubtedly again be re-elected (redundancy in various levels) makes me nauseous, and no kidding.
But I think what upsets me even MORE than Fuck Buck himself is all the stupid, stupid, STUPID people who blindly vote for him... repeatedly!!!!!!!!
