Jim Swilley, bishop of Conyers’ Church in the Now, said he hopes his coming out will change attitudes toward homosexuality.
“I know a lot of straight people think it is a choice. It is not,” Swilley told Channel 2’s Diana Davis.

he has four kids with his wife
then cheats on her with another person.
gets caught and blames his adultery on being gay.adultery is a sin " for a Christian" no matter who he does it with.
He said homosexuality is not a choice, yet he chose to love his wife and have four children with her, then he chose to commit adultery with another person .
he will be judged for his choices.

So, what you are saying is, you have absolutely no idea what homosexuality is, you have no idea that in previous generations gays were TOLD by the church to find a woman and get married because that would "cure" them, So he did EXACTLY what the Church told him to do.
Plus, he was honest with her from the beginning- they both believed that marriage would "cure" him of being gay.
Plus, where the hell did you get this adultery crap?
There was absolutely no adultery mentioned in the article- none. It's not only that he said that homosexuality is not a choice- every sane person does.
If you disagree, tell us all about the day you made the choice to be straight instead of gay.
Or how about this- make the choice to be gay- for just a minute or so.

Ahhh...he did it for the children. Here's the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) anti-free speech agenda under the guise of an anti-bullying agenda coming to prominance in the Christian community and now they have a frontman to promote it.

Whenever you see someone speaking to the media about bullying, you can bet that the Anti-Defamation League can't be far behind, especially when you know what the ADL agenda is: anti-free speech and staunchly anti-Christian.

First off, this "board" is NOT anti-Christian. There have been no "boards" since the 1980's. This is a web site. And this web site is filled with people from various walks of life, most of whom ARE CHRISTIAN.
Second, non-christian individuals like myself have said repeatedly, in no uncertain terms, over and over and over again:
"I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it".
That means that even though I am an Atheist, and I think religions, ALL RELIGIONS, are harmful to individuals and to society at large, I FIRMLY believe every individual has the right to believe whatever asinine crap they want to believe.
What you don't understand about free speech, is that means that we have the right to criticize Christianity just as much as you have the right to proclaim it.
Now get off your high horse, and stop your persecution complex.

Here is one walk of life.
Christians are known for being intolerant, especially towards gays. We have more Christians in America so we tend to see the christian side more than the Islamic side. After being called immoral, going to hell, spawn of Satan, mentally ill and having our rights held back you know what we are going to be pissed! If Christianity didn't make themselves the face of the anti gay movement there wouldn't be an issue. Except the pedophilia but that's a different story.
Believe what you want i don't care, say what you want you have the right, but when you limit my rights and abilities that's a different story, and when the things you are saying are becoming factors in suicides , you should know you are going too far and have crossed the line into evil regardless if you are saying its "gods" word.
If religion was a product and affected people the way that it does it would be illegal at least without a prescription . I would not make it illegal personality but if you cant see that then you are blind. Im sorry many good Christians have to be caught in the line of fire, but i did not want to be apart of this ether, but i wont let anyone tell me im wrong because they read it in some mythological book. You have the right to say it i have the right to disagree in which ever way i want. Especially because im not limiting the rights of abilities of any group of people. Taking away choice is the most unethical thing a person can do.
No one here is "Anti -Christan" if anything they are Anti religion, i haven't met one that discriminated in favor of any religion except some Catholics who hate the Muslims. - 1 year ago
