In a finding that confronts deeply rooted beliefs about parenting, a new study concludes that parents' genders have little impact on children -- suggesting that same-sex couples are as effective at raising children as heterosexual couples.(more at link)

Studies have also shown that teenagers of same-sex parents are more likely to be content and satisfied with their life than teenagers of hetero parents.

Yes
If both your mother and father are male, then you would have developed from an embryo
in your mothers ass instead of a uterus.
This would result in you having a shitty outlook on life.

In another thread, you asked what "anti-human" meant.
That comment was anti-human.And you consider yourself to be a "Christian".
Would Christ write something like that?
You should be ashamed of yourself. - 2 years ago

Interesting how you try to use (gender) to push the claim that same sex homo couples raising kids is good or something. The fact is a child needs a Mother and a Father. They learn from both male and female sexes and that is Natures way.

The word fact has a meaning.
Facts are things that are supported by evidence.
You can't simply call your bigoted notions "facts".
The facts are in the article, and the facts have been proven time and time again, from every single bit of research on the subject. But you don't let facts get in the way of your bigotry.

Though I like the article, I'm still waiting for some extremely anti homosexual standing person to actually try to make an argument about how this is a load of crap. To be truthful, I am surprised that no one yet has written such. How can I argue with someone on this topic if no one really disagrees with me?

In my psychology book they said the opposite so i called the publishing company and read off a huge statement given by the APA in the California court system Over 2 decades of research has proven there is no difference in the parenting capabilities of hetro and homo sexuals.
They told me to expect the changes in the next edition so i hope they do! I also contacted the head of psychology in my school and showed them the evidence. - 2 years ago

When the child is raised to respect others as they want to be respected it helps a lot also. When the child is given direction and purpuse they are better off. children that are allowed to run wild and allowed to act in a disorderly fashion as adolescents they grow into teens that act disrespectful and disorderly.

A number of parenting studies have been done, and they all reached the same conclusion- the sexes of parents are irrelevant, only the number of parents is important.
Not only are same sex parents just as good as opposite sex parents, and not only do two parents do a better job than one alone; three or more adults in the household are even better.
Not only are these studies helpful for same-sex couples seeking adoption, but they also indicate that our current "Nuclear Family" structure is not the best way to go. The old fashioned "Extended Family" is superior for children, with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents all in the same household.

Very true. Unfortunately, wars and revolutions have scattered and decimated families, which compounds the problems in many places. Most single parents became so through no choice or fault of their own.

We should make more options available for single parents to become multi-adult households.
Think of the sitcom "Kate and Ally" with two single mothers living together, raising their children together.
Perhaps there needs to be a "Match.com" service for single mothers with houses to meet single mothers who can move in, pay part of the rent, and share parenting responsibilities!
