Greek Elections: Candidate bribes voters with 10 euro per vote!

WiredGreek
How much is a vote worth?
In times before IMF a local city council or mayor candidate would bribe his voters with a job at the municipality. Sponsors would be very generous and invite people for dine & wine all through the night.

Now things have changed. Jobs are rare – or better say: forbidden -. Sponsors have become stingy and candidates have run out of big money. All they can spend on their voters is a small amount of money for a coffee and a snack, ie. no more than 10 euros! Then should a candidate invite people for dine, he may be able to arrange a fix price. But for wine? Costs can get easily go out of control. So….

Better in cash
A candidate on the island of Mytilene decided to pay to voters
