At the heart of the controversy over “body scanners” is a promise: The images of our naked bodies will never be public. U.S. Marshals in a Florida Federal courthouse saved 35,000 images on their scanner. These are those images.
A Gizmodo investigation has revealed 100 of the photographs saved by the Gen 2 millimeter wave scanner from Brijot Imaging Systems, Inc., obtained by a FOIA request after it was recently revealed that U.S. Marshals operating the machine in the Orlando, Florida courthouse had improperly-perhaps illegally-saved images of the scans of public servants and private citizens.
So much for not being able to store, print, transmit or save the image. If you believe that, you’ll believe anything … idiots.

again... this is just another reason why body imaging is a bad idea. why is there not an equal amount of effort put into medical technology? you know, something that would actually benefit us.

please I been in electronic since I was 6 ..I am 50 now and I seen a lot tech in my years...if the image generates to a signal to a monitor it can be saved ... monitors leak and you can get that signal and display it even record it if you want .. even large photo copiers and Those photo system at you lock store to print out you photos have saved your images. On child sex offender was caught last year when some noted from teh stored photos he was printing out he had one of children .. and it was legal for them to look at those pictures on their systems as you give up rights when you use them to print out you pics.. the guy was caught because of a public system that saves images . These scanners will do the same ..
CC
BTW the in image at the top of this story is fake it is not one from the scanner as if you take it into photo shop and invert it you will see it not look through clothing she is nude and the picture is a photoshop fake

The images are so grainy. It's really not a big deal. If you are aroused by these pictures than you are probably aroused by inkblot tests as well.

For some people perhaps not a big deal but for anyone in a marriage contract where the understanding was they would share their physical naked selves alone only with one another and not the world -or people in a bar- it represents the breaking of a Legal Contract.
For the United States of America to force a breaking of a legal contract of such a society-basic agreement well, some people might think that's not legal.
Obviously you have lesser standards but for you to force your lesser standards on someone else, last time I looked, is BS and uhm, also an illegal act. I think your viewpoint has a very shaky legal foundation.
I'm not currently married myself, was once.

Deb if this is a real image but I do not think its from the scanner. If you take it in to photoshop and invert the image it become real images of nude woman.. not sure this a real one from a scanner as it should show clothing and it does not ..but if it is its not good.. But the right software could give some very clear and detailed images..but I have not been able to do it yet from any image that has been given out in demo.

Interesting that you say that. Every man has an anal entry prostate check so it has become a routine act of doctors. I got a new doctor early this year and he did something to me that was to cause me major rectal pain for 7 months after ward.
Just as he was withdrawing his fingers he jerked upward real hard against the inner rectum and sphincter muscle. I don't know if he did it on purpose or if perhaps it was a muscle spasm in his forearm, and just maybe he did it on purpose thinking he was strengthening my internals.
He sure as heck messed me up. I had to purchase extra pain meds OTC which nowadays are NOT cheap and take extra nutrition and just grin and bear it hoping to heck, heaven and hell it would decide to stop.
It has finally relented at 8 months after the incident. The reason I mention this is that we are all assuming the best possible scenarios and the result of that is mockery and laughter if any one of us raises a voice of complaint.
There are going to be many instances of negative ramifications and fallout from these abuses that we do not and can not foresee til after they happen and you get home and find out the bad news, but then you aren't in the airport so no lawyer on earth would be able to help you then.
Zero redress, zero law, zero damage awards to pay for medical help you now need => that you didn't need when you went into the airport. What all this shakes down to mean is a total stripping of rights, total and complete.
hahaha You'll go to the doctor and he has been told to laugh at you also or lose his license to practice his occupation. So he'll downplay your complaint or send you to a psychiatrist to find out why you have suddenly developed a mental aberration and obsession with your imagined airport security abuses.
The screw is very large now and growing, by the day. We are become the human trash of all Time.

Would you rather be seen or fondled?
I'd rather be seen (well, I guess if this chick was a TSA agent, I'd rethink, but she's not... her hue is a little faded for the job).
But the real solution is bomb/drug-sniffing dogs. Hell, they even have dogs that can smell FEAR, so that takes profiling out of the argument. Everyone gets sniffed by a dog. If Muslims or whoever the hell else doesn't like it, too bad. It's the objectively least invasive form of scan.
Unless of course, they had Mac from IASIP do an ocular assessment. Then we'd be protected with style.

Americans are making a big mistake. Terrorists from the Islamic~Muslim World ~we learned from the lady soldier pictures at Abu Graib~ how much they value their body not being viewed by others, right? So while many of US say so what? that's not the point at all. These scannings of US against OUR WILL is a prison sentence victory they RELISH every second of their day because as long as it CONTINUES it is their PROOF TO THEM they and their Belief systems are vastly superior to the US-American puke system that allows body scan exposure.
In short, they view our sheep-like submission as proof to them we are the real heathens, low life scum of Humanity, animals. To them we Americans are animals, the scans giving them all the proof of that they could ever have dreamed possible.
Of course they already knew that from Abu Ghraib anyway => but now the proof is in the rancid pudding we lap up and say Thank You Mastah to be getting it.
Do you understand?! Abu Ghraib PICTURES degraded them now our PICTURES (scans) are degrading all of US. We violated just a measly few of their male soldiers and the Justice they have worked on us has degraded a hundred thousand Americans for every one of their humiliated-in-pictures soldiers.
The terrorists haven't just won they have and still are taking us to the battle of Little Bighorn and trashing us every single day, at every single airport security scan any damn pretense of Morality we thought we had is being setting fire to and consumed on our front yards all across the land like a giant Cross of Jesus set ablaze.
Oh yes; yes yes yes yes. The terrorists have done much more than win. Whenever a baby is scanned, when an old woman or elderly man is scanned, when a pregnant woman is doused with womb-penetrating radiation scan energy, wow, they've done it! They've really, really done it. They do not THINK we are sellout heathens they KNOW we are are sell-each-other-out heathens.
They have us throwing each other under the bus!
They have burned us to the ground with their justice. THAT is why they don't need to set off any dirty bombs, don't have to bomb any more buildings, don't have to hijack any more planes! They have won the war while we understand-nothing-dingbats stupid stupid stupids think the war is still on.
hahahahahahahahahahaha They are the superior Race.

I have to agree with you. +^'d. It really sucks how we have traded freedom and privacy for false security. If anyone cares to remember, the underwear bomber was walked around airport security. Next year we will be introduced to random anal probes; just in case. The friendly skis just took on a whole new meaning.

On this web page I've posted above you and I've posted below you the ramifications and deep meanings of body scans. It will all be a waste of my time to post and a waste of everybody else to read. This isn't going to stop any more than Iraq stopped.
The cancer is spreading through our ranks my friend. It will not be satisfied til we all lay in Times Square naked in the cold morning rain waiting for the photographer to snap our picture, and the family picture.
We're just the crap, as Danny de Vito said he was in the movie Twins. It was funny in the movie eh, but the movie was telling us what was coming down the pike.

Last week a major insight solution to world energy came to me. You'll notice how the body scan news reports worsened right? An invisible Mastermind wishes to keep the human pot stirred so hard that no one can stop spinning long enough to calculate up just how many times over I have solved World Energy with non-polluting systems since 1989.
It is paramount Satan keeps everyone from realizing just how much energy is easily obtained and accessible.
And of course it isn't just me either. Others have solved world energy needs before me, Nikolai Tesla and Floyd Sweet. Humanity is drowning in safe, non waste-producing energies that surpass nuclear power plants.
God forbid you peons realize I know what I'm talking about.

For instance my friend, several months back I made posts on a number of blogs explaining how that many solar cells could be placed around a wheel, a hub, and spun under a magnifying glass at just the right rotation speed to produce a 60 Hz house current. If 60 solar cells were used && they revolved under that magnifying glass per second, that's house current output, but it's magnifying the Solar Power Capture 6,000%.
Where do you think that insight came from man? Moving pictures, remember? That was how the first moving pictures were made, many multiple images made real fast! Made of a running racehorse as I recall, thereby proving horses fly when all their hoofs was shown to be off the ground at one point at the same time.
hahahaha So you see man, my "theory" is not a theory it's already-used Science. So what happens right following my world class speed-enhanced solar power release hhmm?
Enter the dragon, my friend, enter the dragon. I make an advance that frees the world off of crude oil and the invisible Mastermind and Satan rolls out PICTURES TAKEN AGAINST YOUR WILL to mask over my scientific freedom from crude oil.
I've been watching this Devil do that to my energy freedom inventions for over a decade now.

I went through one of these things and what really threw me was that the TSA attendants thought it was important to to confirm that I was male, as if that was the most important part of the search. On top of that I am overweight and don't think my scan could compete with the lady above.
