George Soros: Quit Supporting obama

ASHINGTON -- At a private meeting on Tuesday afternoon, George Soros, a longtime supporter of progressive causes, voiced blunt criticism of the Obama administration, going so far as to suggest that Democratic donors direct their support somewhere other than the president.

The Hungarian-American financier was speaking to a small side gathering of donors who had convened in Washington D.C. for the annual gathering of the Democracy Alliance -- a formal community of well-funded, progressive-minded individuals and activists.

According to multiple sources with knowledge of his remarks, Soros told those in attendance that he is "used to fighting losing battles but doesn't like to lose without fighting."

"We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line," he said, according to several Democratic sources. "And if this president can't do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else."

Michael Vachon, an adviser to Soros, did not dispute the comment, though he stressed that there was no transcript of a private gathering to check. Vachon also clarified that the longtime progressive giver was not referring to a primary challenge to the president.

Don't you believe it is time to really examine what it is that the progressive movement 'needs' apart from the constitution?... which I might add was drafted and ratified by and for the benefit of the people of the U.S. ... and has been the guiding light for freedom and self determination for over two centuries.
.... so what do they believe that we need?... when it is evident that no nation on earth has had the success such as that as of the U.S., the land of freedom and opportunity.

Will the U.S. be 'better' if it is modeled after European style governance?... I think not, because if that were so, why are people fleeing their homelands to come here?

well said ahi. someone needs to take soros out of business. this mind freak has no place in american politics. he has enough money and ought to buy an island, develop it into a country of his own and become president there. taking all the progressives with him. they could call it fantasy island

    • Soros is practically responsible for Obama's success. He gave Obama left cover by making sure Obama's base supported global warming and health care, largely failed agendas, instead of seriously ending the war and addressing the fundamental problems of the economy.

Should be interesting to see what....if anything they have to say.

My guess is most of them wont even have the balls to comment on this. The progressives on the left are growing very inpatient with their beloved obama. He isnt taking the country far enough to the left for them as fast as they thought he would and now with the republicans having some say they know they have lost their chance. To bad so sad for them. My heart bleeds purple piss for them
