Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she could beat President Barack Obama in 2012 and is “looking at the lay of the land” for a possible presidential campaign.
In the interview with ABC News’ Barbara Walters., Palin said she is undecided about whether to run. “I’m looking at the lay of the land now, and … trying to figure that out, if it’s a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it’s a good thing,” the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said.
Sarah Palin isn’t running for President yet, but if she does, she says she’ll win. “I believe so,” the ex-Alaska Gov. said when she was asked if she thought she could beat Obama.
Though she lost the election to Barack Obama when paired with John McCain in 2008, Palin thinks she could win in a rematch.
“I’m looking at the lay of the land now, and…trying to figure that out, if it’s a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it’s a good thing,” Palin told Walters, in an interview that will air Dec. 9 as part of “10 Most Fascinating People” year-end special.
