Women Gang Rape Schoolboy In Papua New Guinea

Mendi, Papua New Guinea (AHN) - Police are hunting 10 women who attacked a 17-year-old schoolboy with a knife and raped him in Papua New Guinea’s Southern Highlands province over the weekend.


The incident happened on Friday outside the provincial capital of Mendi, according to provincial police chief Teddy Tei. The young victim went to a hospital for treatment after the attack, he said.

Tei fears the boy has been infected with HIV by four of the women who raped him at knifepoint. HIV is the virus that causes acquired immune-deficiency syndrome or AIDS.

There is a high incidence of HIV infection among women in the Pacific island country. Papua New Guinea also ranks among the top countries with the highest incidence of rapes, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Just last week, an Australian female tourist was raped by locals, who hijacked her car and robbed his three other companions in Madang province in the northwestern coast of the main island. The victims were taken to a secluded site and tied to trees.

      Do you watch the National Geographic Channel? I mean it is not as if he was attacked by a bunch of women who look like Brooke shields in the Blue Lagoon. More than likely they were a pack of broads with bad teeth, bad breath and body order. The poor kid will be traumatized for years.

    • What an odd story. Most rapist dont travel in packs, women dont typically rape someone, and the article reads... "Tei fears the boy has been infected with HIV by four of the women who raped him" why four? It was ten women, right? Do they know who the women are and their HIV status? something just doesn't add up.

      If this story is true I hope the young man is okay and they find the women responsible.

    • Well this is a story that you don't hear often at all. I guess rape is no longer a single gender role(Was it ever?), which I'm fine with. Poor boy though he is going to be off the vagina for years, I do wish they could have shown a picture of him because ten women, that's some Justin Biber shit.

      Would you show a picture of two random American women or men for that matter attached to an American rape story?

      You are imparting the racist impression that women of Paupa New Guinea are all sexual predators.
