A Texas jury has convicted former House majority leader Tom DeLay, once one of the most powerful Republicans in Congress, on money laundering and conspiracy charges.DeLay, a former No. 2 House GOP leader, faces five to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 on the money laundering charge.
He appeared shocked, according to the Austin American-Statesman, when jurors reported their findings one by one. Sentencing is set for Dec. 20.

I'll be honest. Because all of this happened in Texas, I just assumed that he would not be convicted and if he was,he would walk with just a hand-slap for punishment.
So much for preconceived notions

What about the rest of those corrupt Republicans? And you gotta wonder about the Supreme Court's ruling to allow corporate buying of elected officials, is it to remove the likelihood of other's being prosecuted for past violations?

Fecal Matter for brains was hatched out in New Haven, Connecticut not Texas. Austinites will NOT take the blame for bush. But we will take the credit for sending Smiling Tom to be rehabilitated....in various orifices... Hopefully.

To whom? The god of american Justice? Well I hate to break it to you but he was executed In Texas. If I pray to the god Governor, Tom will probably get a blow job and a new car. It is times like these we could really use some divine intervention.

Probation? Go to jail for cannabis, walk for political corruption? That wouldn't be justice, that would be a travesty.

Yep travesty of justice thats the America I have been living in all my life. I always hope for the law to rain down on the unjust but they have already paid off the appeals court judges.
If we want justice then we are going to have to get fighting mad as a whole. Like all the unemployed who have lost their jobs and all the people who still will not be able to afford health care; I mean mad. Mad enough to get a supreme court justice impeached for his conflict of interest. If anyone does not know what I am talking about, then you haven't been paying attention and you are no-where near mad enough.
