    • Religious people demanding respect for their indefensible beliefs at the expense of satire and free speech offends the fundamental values of reason and free expression upon which society is founded. Let's make a deal: religious people give up the subjugation, occupation, and murder of those outside their group, and then we'll talk about what offends their fragile sensibilities.     • The only respect he has shown religion is for Islam! Islam has no respect, or tolerance, for any religion but Islam, and Obama's mocking of the Hindu religion fits right in with his true religion: Islam, and his claim to be Christian is just a smokescreen to fool the American people! Impeach the Traitor!

      I happen to know a lot of Muslim Americans whose lives would prove you wrong. Also, a lot of history stands against you.

      In fact, when the Islamic Caliphates existed in Asia, they allowed followers of other religions to seek refuge in there territory, or receive safe passage through it. Christian conquerors routinely demanded conversion or death, so in a sense Islam has been more tolerant if you look at it from a historical perspective. It is easy for people in a predominantly Christian society to view Islam as a religion of extremists based on the behavior of select (often rather powerful) individuals, but the reality is that Islam (as a faith) is no more or less militant than Christianity. Christians are responsible for the genocide of millions of people, and the elimination of entire culture. If you devised an opinion of Christianity based solely on the actions of it most extreme members, you would end up with a rather grotesque, and grossly inaccurate, impression of Christians. the same is true for anything.
