In its first months in office, the Obama administration sought to protect Bush administration officials facing criminal investigation overseas for their involvement in establishing policies the that governed interrogations of detained terrorist suspects. A "confidential" April 17, 2009, cable sent from the US embassy in Madrid to the State Department—one of the 251,287 cables obtained by WikiLeaks—details how the Obama administration, working with Republicans, leaned on Spain to derail this potential prosecution.

    • presidents do that for each other look at nixon when he resigned the next president (president ford) pardoned him of all charges that might come up later.

      Of course Ford was as guilty as hell. The first article I blogged derived
      from a New York Times news article describing blow by blow how the
      Flunkie Bureau of Insects Director Hoover made him their operative.
      They groomed him like the NBC peacock, preparing him as an H.R.
      Rep. for Nixon's VP. So that when Nixon was forced to resign in scandle,
      the FBI was puppeteering Ford to pardon Nixon for them. With all the
      skeletons in Nixon's closet, the FBI didn't have to say or do much to
      " persuade " him to play ball with them. Their traditional blackmail m.o.
      was reserved for the President and his A.G. brother back in the 1960s.
      You can bet the Flunkie Bureau had a hand in covering up the C.I.A.'s
      involvement in both their deaths. They're both agency monsters. That's
      an obvious fact. What's another not so obvious fact is that the USA was
      established to eliminate hegemony, yet all the Presidents are blood related.
      Hug your cousin, pinocio'bama. You're both fruit fallen from the same tree.
