The deal on the table in congress: We give you taxcuts for the wealthiest americans, you give us extended unemployment benefits for the most-screwed population in the recession.
Lets see, we give them $90 billion and we get what.... $5 billion in return?
Bullshit.
I say, we get unemployment benefits AND we hike the estate tax up to the stratosphere. 90% on everything over $5 million.

This appears to be a pivotal moment in US history. Either the "unwashed masses" will take getting fleeced again or they will not. The fact is that the economic crisis was created by the financial sector. Our massive debt is due in large part to the stupidity and rapacious greed of those men. Now, they want US to pay for THEIR crimes (again) while at the same time they are fighting to keep tax breaks to the wealthy. There are no words that can adequately describe the arrogance, greed and stupidity of these people. They obviously know little about history, because if they did, they'd understand that they typical response to this type of immoral filth is revolution.
