A huge upheaval in galactic time will come to the earth! It happens about every 5200 years, the Mayans knew this to be the truth. Records around the globe back this time in earths geological history, and if you remember the Iceman that was discovered 2 decades ago show his age flash frozen in time at around 5200 years ago.

    • I hate to be so reductive, but if the Mayans knew so much why are they all dead and the study of their culture relegated to the field of anthropology? Their powers of celestial observation, although very advanced for their time, were far inferior to what we are able to observe to today, so there is nothing they could have know that we don't. And if people say aliens told them stuff was going to happen hundreds of years in the future then they are idiots.

Remember this is a civilization that sacrificed humans (adults and children) on a semi-regular basis, and played a ball game where the losers were killed. People shouldn't put a lot of faith into what is essentially a really big New Years Party for them. Nothing is going to happen on 12-21-2012.

The problem with technology is not to have it, but to worship it like is sacred. When you advance technologically but forget the Spiritual completely you have unbalance that will manifest one way or the other. When I speak of Spirituality I'm not talking about religion. Technological advancement comes with an inherited responsibility that I think we are not willing to assume. In the name of technological advance we destroy the planet resources, we profit on poverty and desperation and we use it mainly for war and weapons. So again, it is about "Self" service, corporate profit, power over the weak. So shit happens because we need that balance, and it will continue to happen until we open our eyes, accept the responsibility and we start using technology for peace, in resonance with nature but most of all with the good of all concerned in mind.

    • Yes the world is going to end, but the world "as we know it" right now. It's the "end" of the old energy that has enslaved the planet for so long and the beginning of a new energy now shining light on everything: corruption in governments, financial chaos, religious fanaticism, unbalanced resources exploitation, etc. You can see it in the news, blogs, every media outlet in the world, how everything is extremely polarized now. You have extreme conservatism versus liberal thinking, and this country is the most clear example of that. There are no grey tones in between, it's either black or white. And that's the way things become when they are changing. People don't like changes and will do whatever it takes to maintain the Status Quo, specially those in powerful positions. Old values are maintained even if they don't fit the collective mind anymore, for fear of change. But change we will have, for sure, change we are experiencing right now that is creating all the turmoil in the planet. It's old versus new, it's "technological man" versus "spiritual man", serving the "Self" versus serving "Others" mentality, "Male aggressive energy" versus 'Feminine, nurturing energy". 2012 it's just a "pic" a high point in this transition, and it's not confined to a single day (dec 21 2012) it's being in motion since the Magnetic Convergence of 1989, and will keep affecting us all way pass 2012. Since everything is connected at all levels, Gaia (Earth) is also experiencing these changes and it is adjusting to them. That's the reason for all the Earth movements we have seen these recent years, intensifying in strength and occurrence. And the reason for the Water Cycle we are going through right now (El Niño and La Niña phenomenons). Scientist are talking about a Mini Ice Age coming in the next century or less, and usually before an Ice Age, comes a warming of the planet. So, everything is happening at the right time, and we as a collective force are responsible for all these changes. If we still have wars in the world it's because the critical mass stills desires to have it, for economical reasons, for old hatreds between races and religions. So we have to decide, collectively, to change our minds toward the light and not to maintain old energies, and be the change we'd like to see in the world. 2012 in the end it's a blessing, a clean slate that will mark a new beginning, but only, if we really want it.

    • All of this 2012 apocalypse hype is garbage. The year 2012 simply implies that humans are entering upon the most dynamic and novel time we have experienced. There is a rising awareness among the world's population that will help us cope with all of the exponential changes of our core belief structures, the economy, geology, and technology. No mass extinction, no end of the world, no ascension or rapture, no aliens landing on the planet (but that would be awesome), none of this new age bullshit. To deal with all of the change occurring just requires a small shift in the collective awareness of the human population. Everyone is going to wake up on December 22, 2012 and laugh and the stupidity of the New Age movement that perpetuated all of this apocalyptic hype.

And just one note about predictions albeit the ones we are taking about have been completely misconstrued by naive western thought: they only offer a PROBABLE situation of the future and it is our choice through dedicated and introspective uses of meditation, that we can allow ourselves to observe the many realities we are capable of choosing and resonating with. So if one truly, in their core, believes the world may end on this date, they may be consciously shifting to reality where that's more likely to occur. A prediction can be a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. So always keep an open mind to the possibilities, but realize you truly have the innate ability to choose which reality you truly want to be in. Don't worry, live life to your highest excitement everyday, and we will all be laughing together on Dec 22. Yes,the mayans and many other ancient traditions knew what they were talking about but Western society, backwards as always, tries to fit a new, unique paradigm into their worldview, and in upon doing so, completely miss the main message, and automatically assume doom and gloom.

Very nicely said! I think much of the website does indeed recognize the shift in mankind's thinking and the planets on going climatic changes! I don't believe the world will come to an end in 2012, but that new challenges will confront humans and a new age of group think will ensue! The recent scientific research into the coming mini-ice age is just one catastrophic development man will have too adjust too. Therefor I posted this article to inform people of the bombardment we will experience with all kinds of scenario's about 2012. The Earth does go through geological changes that are as natural as human death and birth cycles, recent solar activity could be the norm that triggers ice ages like our planet has endured from the start of geological time. If those solar periods are responsible for the melting of polar ice caps, the massive trillions of gallons of water displaced from such melting can effect the whole planet as too what the new geographic map of land masses will change. The theory of such an amount of fresh water entering the Atlantic conveyor belt will shut down the gulf stream that has supplied northern Europe with an acceptable climate for agriculture for thousands of years. Thus the last mini-ice age lasted for two century's, many millions of people at that time died from disease and hunger. Now that we have new means for feeding the masses and the ability to relocate populations that may be displaced, a catastrophe of biblical proportions can be reasoned out by modern man.

I agree with you. With all of the economic, environmental and social upheavals we are now seeing, I too believe it will lead us to a place where a new mindset will have to be taken to survive, and that will kick in. An harmonic convergence of sorts, where the negative aspects of what we face will force us to deal with our humanity and morality in order to survive, and from that the crises we face will take on a new meaning as we use them to bring about a positive new age. This is why we need to understand climate change, because we can do something still to mitigate and adapt to its effects. This is why we need to understand ways of sustainable agriculture, water conservation, respect for indigenous lands and peoples, and an inherent respect for the ecosystems that sustain us. These systems in line with the inner reflection we will be forced to have will lead us to a day when we see the world in a whole new light in using technology for the good of mankind where it is best served in harmony with the planet. We can reach gnosis as a species... it is up to us... we have a choice... and that is the good news.

Nicely said Jan! We have not been good stewards of the land and have lost our connection with the harmony of mother nature! Maybe this time it will be a planet awakening and a true new age of reason! If anything we have brought a natural cycle closer by emitting our pollution into the lungs and natural breathing apparatus of mother earth.

    • JanforGore:

Eloquently put. And like you said it all boils down to our choice on an individual level. Each of us needs to look within to raise our awareness or vibration, if you will. This allows people to realize how to live their life to their utmost joy or excitement. If one can accomplish this feat, then anyone around you will be strongly influenced and allow to follow. So give humanity a push in the right direction, humanity needs to address issues on the personal level to begin to effect anything on a larger scale. My goal is to have atleast a 5 acre farm running according to the principles of permaculture, with the implementation of aquaponics, structuralization of water, biological architecture, and several types of solar and geothermal energy inputs. This seems to be my highest joy and know I will follow that path to allow the betterment of mankind, simply by providing an example.

What a noble beautiful goal. I wish you the best with that. I don't have land or I would do the same (a biodynamic farm would be my dream) but I do support those who sustainably grow our food and who work to conserve our water and ecosystems ( which I do to the best of my abilities every day) and will continue to use my words and my love for Earth in any way I can to move into that right direction. And choice is exactly the key word to get us there especially now as we as a civilization are indeed at a crossroads. We know what each path leads to and have what we need to make it on the better path. Why we consciously choose the other path knowing what it will bring truly boggles my mind, but we will reach critical mass soon realizing the other way is the only viable way for survival. And though I do post here about threats to indigenous people and climate change, and news about what the world is going through now which may look negative, that is done to inspire that right choice. We must face the reality which is negative in order to know how to deal with it and defeat it. However, it seems there are many who simply do not wish to do this, therefore, stagnation. And this is where that moment of enlightenment comes in... call it climate change, peak oil, water scarcity, food scarcity, economic collapse, etc., but these are the signs we now must take into that introspection in getting back to what we were truly meant to be.

    • Just like when everyone thought the world would end in 2000 LOL. Then again, I agree with Pzluvhappeniz. If Sarah Palin were elected in 2012, then the world will truly end. Other than that, the world won't end in 2012.

    • If the world is going to end tomorrow why do I care today. If there is nothing I can do and the end of the world is comeing then what the fuck do I care really. get over it people, if the world ends today tomorrow, next week, next year next millenia, the only thing you can really do is make sure that you have lived the best life you could.

If it is somthing we can deal with we will have to deal with it when it comes. We dont know what it will be so the only thing we can do is make sure we are prepared at the bare minimum, survival skills and equipped to kill whatever we may need to. I have been prepared for the apocolypse since I was a wee grashopper. But I kinda want a cataclysmic event that will decimate the planet and leave only the strong, its not that I would do it but if it comes I am ready, and the death of my debtors wouldnt be so bad either. Not to mention the joys of looting.

I am quite sure modern man will not throw spears at the sun or throw people into volcano's or cut their hearts out for sacrifice to the gods. But the pure massive global shift of inhabitable land will be a problem for many of us. I think we are both on the same wave length in twitching with anticipation of what changes are coming. It kind of reminds me of what it must have been like for the primitives when they witnessed a solar eclipse and started freaking out. We modern people's know now what an eclipse is and just take pictures, I think it will be a lot like that. We have learned a lot since those times and are equipped to deal with whatever comes our way!

I doubt human sacrafice will return but I do not doubt that society will crumble quickly if whatever event hits with enough force. That is what i am really looking for, the break down of all our structures and strictures. It will be about a man and his strength again, no longer will it be about your ability to use this and understand that but instead it will again be about your skills to simply kill and build.

That is a possibility, I think it depends on how fast whatever is coming gets here. Something of a pole shift comes too mind, that liquid chewy nugget at the center of our planet acts like a ball of mercury and may finished flopping all at once or over the next hundred years. And we cannot forget the trillions of tons of ice pushing down on the land masses at either end of the earth, that once it melts that said land mass will react in what way? Most of geographical land masses were formed from advancing and retreating glaciers in the past
and the evidence is all around us! It maybe a future of once again Nomadic tribes roaming the planet in search of food and shelter, strength of that tribe will truly be an asset!

Whatever comes may come slowly, but that is not the possiblity i prefer to hope for. Whatever it is I hope it comes fast, and hard. Wipeing out coastal populations in hours and spreading to the rest of the continent leaving only the strongest and the smartest to fend for themselves. Our species needs an evolutionary bottleneck soon or we will not be storng enough to survive it when it comes.

Maybe Atlantis will rise out of the sea! Sudden and swift change will be an absolutely disaster! I've been investigating manny different sources as to pole shift, sudden ice ages, and many of the experts suggest a swift change is possible. That's one reason I posted and commented on the iceman found in I think it was 1991, he was carbon dated back 5200 years and was flash frozen. One show on natgeo went to argentina I believe it was and discovered foliage flash frozen 5200 years ago. Coincidence? I don't think so. These shows are fascinating and reveal we have gained so much knowledge over the century's and are learning at a very fast rate. Have we discovered what is going to happen and the experts just don't want to alarm the public so the chips fall where they will? I don't know, but we are living in exciting times for sure! Conspiracy theory's are there for a reason you know, to deflect truth and real public exposure! I think it is our duty too sort the crap out for ourselves sense that is all we are left with! Just the one big example is climate change, man made or not, evil forces continue to cloud the issue with falsehoods and schemes it's enough to make your head spin.

    • Nobody is sure about what will happen, but something will take place and recent sun spot activity is on the rise and is predicted to last another 2 years. One of the theory's is predicting a flip flop of the earth's magnetic core, how long does this flip flop take place? Nobody is sure but this event takes place about every 200,000 years, and according to geographical records it's been around 200,000 years since the last event took place.
