Indiana Earthquake
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake at a depth of just 3.0 miles hit central Indiana at 6:55am local time, the USGS said Thursday. There were no immediate reports of injuries or major damages from the quake, which was centered 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The epicenter was located about 15 miles east-southeast of Kokomo, 15 miles west-southwest from Marion and 50 miles north of Indianapolis. There were no reports of damage in Indianapolis, but closer to the epicenter residents reported being rattled.
