    • To all you very blind to the truth people that are commenting when all you know is what you caught 5 minutes of on the tele whilst eating your tea, or heard a little on the radio whist driving to work.. Your opinion does not count! You have know Idea what the true benifits of Cannibas/Hemp really are cause all you ever see/hear is that its a Gateway Drug, because thats the only thing the goverment can really stick to telling you.. Well I got a few Gateway Drugs for you: Alcohol leads to Nicotine which leads to Spliffs.. Now time for some research you would have found out yourself had you have taking the time to get the facts rather than just "REPEATING THE MANS SPEECH".

‎2005 Research Shows Yearly Deaths Related to the following:
      Yearly Deaths from Tobacco: 440,000
      Yearly Alcohol-Related Deaths: 85,000
Yearly Deaths due to Poor diet & Inactivity: 400,000
Yearly Deaths caused by Marijuana: 0

National Academy of Sciences found the following:
"There is no evidence that Marijuana serves as a stepping-stone (to other drug use)... Infact, most drug users do not begin their drug use with Marijuana
-They begin with Alcohol and Nicotine"

I believe I read someone earlier say there should be a VOTE, well there is VoteHemp @ http://www.votehemp.com/

If you want to here more about Hemp/Cannibas, like the fact that it has 25,000 known benifits it as to both Man and Earth come visit me on Facebook, and checkout what I have found out about it over the years. You'll be shocked at my findings from all the research and time I have spent trying to get all the facts..

Facebook user: Legalize Mary Jane then look for my picture..

I will leave you with this link though as this could make you see what we are losing from the Worlds most Versatile Plant: http://5280772.versativa.org/

Thanks and Peace to all.. LMJ

    • Some midwest states allow hemp farming, but I heard very few people are taking advantage of the system and getting hemp growing licenses. Spread the word that those states allow it and hopefully more people will get the licenses. The government won't legalize hemp farming if no one is farming hemp.

In response to Al Gore's answer. Not the comment of im1mjrpain.

I do think it was kind of disingenuous, but I understand. They have gone after his son in the past.

I read back before he was actually Vice President, that he had openly purchased, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" from a hemp activist in Michigan. He read the book! He knows! And if he doesn't, why doesn't he? The amount of cannabis hemp information I have read is astounding. Where has he been?

He may think the conversation is not worth the risk of political rhetoric? I think he and others are wrong. It's time to have the conversation. Cannabis facts have been spun with a healthy does of 'madness'. That can't stand! Hemp facts were removed from history books. Did they try to rewrite history? Did Jack Herer find that history, document it and share it online? Yes! There is absolutely no reason for anyone not to know facts! Facts matter! The truth matters more! Saying you don't know, when you do, is disingenuous.

We need green! Hemp could be the fiber that helps rebuild America. The information is out there. Al Gore knows it. It's a sad day when people with voices are too afraid to talk about facts. The madness would stop if people would start talking about the facts.

Jack Herer has let the Genie out of the bottle. The facts are now available. Our government should not continue the spin. Historical facts about cannabis hemp could lead us in a new direction.

http://www.jackherer.com/chapters.html (complete with documentation to back up the facts).

Chapter 1 - OVERVIEW OF THE HISTORY OF CANNABIS HEMP
Chapter 2 - BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE USES OF HEMP
Chapter 3 - NEW BILLION DOLLAR CROP
Chapter 4 - THE LAST DAYS OF LEGAL CANNABIS
      Chapter 5 - MARIJUANA PROHIBITION
Chapter 6 - MEDICAL LITERATURE ON CANNABIS MEDICINE
Chapter 7 - THERAPEUTIC USE OF CANNABIS
Chapter 8 - HEMPSEED AS THE BASIC WORLD FOOD
      Chapter 9 - ECONOMICS ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
      Chapter 10 - MYTH, MAGIC & MEDICINE
Chapter 11 - THE (HEMP) WAR OF 1812, NAPOLEON & RUSSIA
Chapter 12 - CANNABIS DRUG USE IN 19TH CENTURY AMERICA
Chapter 13 - PREJUDICE: MARIJUANA AND JIM CROW LAWS
Chapter 14 - MORE THAN SIXTY YEARS OF SUPPRESSION
Chapter 15 - THE OFFICIAL STORY: DEBUNKING "GUTTER SCIENCE"
      Chapter 16 - THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES

Cannabis hemp could lead us to a 'new' recovery, leading us to jobs, jobs, jobs.

    • Any and all forms of Marijuana should be legalized period. Blue jeans and rope used to be made from it and is way stronger than cotton, as well as the medical benefits. This country could get so much more revenue from growing marijuana and selling it regulated for smoking or using it to make other things such as clothing. I saw a report on CNBC about Colorado and their Medical Marijuana growers and they helped toward the states deficit!! (I think it said they eliminated the deficit) Wouldn't that be amazing if growing pot could wipe out our countries deficit!?! Plus there would be a lot less legal problems and less people in prison for marijuana trafficking which is less money being spent on them.

2012 News Release => Hemp Industry re-energizes US Economy! Nah. Never happen. Neither one. The Pole slide comes in 2012. And the Poles slide. Destruction always comes to poorly learned and poorly-informed backward people. Get used to failure.

2012 this way comes, and you ain't gonna like it. The planet breaks apart like Krypton as the Elites launch skyward laughing their heads off at the ground-trapped slobs.

Or, alternate scenario, Jesus shows & saves the ones he likes.

Does Christ Jesus think highly of you Heather?

Why yes Jesus does think highly of me. And I am not poorly learned or a poorly-informed backwards person. I am an educated woman, that does research on subjects that interest me. I use my computer to gain as much information I can, (not to mention that I have gone to college) and all I was doing was stating an opinion, not taking a democratic or republican view, or even a religious view. (Though God is very much in my life.) I was not talking about 2012, that is a whole other can of worms that is highly debatable and controversial and I wish not to get into the end of the world discussion.

Good to meet ya then! Me neither! But I do like getting into a God's New World is coming after the end of this poorly-run imitation of a world is done away with discussion. You might not want to do that since I have not your great credentials; perhaps sometime you could read Rev. 21 vs 3 & 4 to take a peek what's in the pipeline!

It might not wait til 2012. I just lobbed that over the fence 4 a reply.

    • I wish it was that easy. Just get thousands of Virtual Postcards and send them up the cyber chain right to President Obama and Attorney General Holder with Vote Hemp's email system.

Great idea on that hemp history week but... I could see how this will play out. With a lot of laughing and joking on the Bill Maher show as they simultaneously label you all "Hempers". From this year forward anytime you mention Hemp History Week people will dismiss all valid points you make, laugh, and refer to you all as the wacky "Hempers".

Kinda like they do truthers, birthers, and any other er's that come to mind.

You would probably have a better chance under the administration of a fundamentalist christian like pat robertson

Please read "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" by Jack Herer. It's available on jackherer.com free for all to read. Please read the true story of hemp & cannabis. If you don't have the facts, all your opinions are based on things that just aren't true.

It's pro pot, of course. The man who wrote was a pothead. He used facts to write the book though. The people who made pot illegal use lies & deceit. It's in the history books man. It's all verifiable. Don't believe what anyone tells you. Do your own research. The truth is, it's illegal for the wrong reasons & it would be beneficial to our country if it were legalized. Hell it even helped us gain our independence from England.

That is not true. That is not what was said in the book. I suggest you reread the book. It's available for free online (thanks Jack r.i.p.) jackherer.com/thebook. Popular Mechanics volume 76 December 1941 page 99 is where Jack got his info from about Henry Ford.

What you wrote about the books is untrue. Popular Mechanics archive is on Google books. I got the page# wrong. Page 1, page 3, page 204, page 207. Stop spreading bad info! What you said was not written in that book! The plastic in the car was made using a combination of flax, wheat, hemp, & spruce pulp. It is well know Rudolf Diesel & Henry Ford experimented with biofuel, to think they never used hemp oil is pretty ignorant. Oh BTW, you have access to Fords r&d files? That's pretty cool. What's the new grill gonna look like on the F150?

Growing industrial hemp would allow us the ability to leave forests standing in order to provide carbon sinks as well as using hemp as a soil carbon sequestration crop. This link shows a listing of the benefits of industrial hemp and the corporate collusionists working to keep it from being grown in this country by causing confusion as to the difference between industrial hemp and marijuana. Our Founding Fathers grew it, wrote on it, and wore it, and the Declaration Of Independence was originally written on hemp paper. Hemp was so important to Colonial America that growing it was mandated by law in order to provide for the economic viability of the country. It is time to regain the vision of those who first planted these seeds. The hemp seed could well be part of the solution to our environmental and economic crises and it doesn't require corporate backed geoengineering schemes.

I say stop GMO corn subsidies and give us hemp!

It was actually against the law for a farmer NOT to grow hemp during the Revolutionary war because it was the most important crop to provide rope, canvas, paper and oil cut off by the British. The U.S.S. Constitution couldn't have sailed without hemp.
& Betsy Ross used it to make the first American flags.

But THC was found on George Washington's dentures in the Smithsonian and he wrote in his diary of August 1781: "Today seperated male Hemp from female Hemp" (only one reason to do that).
Also enjoy the letter from Jefferson to Washington: "Save the seeds from the India hemp. It is far superior to common hemp."
