im not sure if some of you remember when Current was an actual community driven network...but what the hell happened to you Current?! Where are the VCC's? you know Viewer Created Content? I enjoyed watching all the various stories created by amateurs. The topics were sometimes mundane but still i took a small piece of insight from each one. The video was sometimes grainy, sound levels all over the place, and transitions sometimes jarring....and I LOVED it! Current used to be the first channel I went to, and sometimes even if i had seen the show I would still watch it. And what about the shows? Sure Vanguard is still around, but what about SuperNews, Infomania, and the guilty pleasure that was Still Up with Max and Jason??? Supernews was my goto show for everything pop culture!!! Amazing Art and hilarious stories! INfomania was great until they tried to appeal to the Tosh.O and Talk Soup Audience! Ah, Still Up....with metrosexual hosts, Max and Jason, the ridicule would sometime out weigh my interest in the show but it was great entertainment nonetheless!!! So like everything that is founded on great principles and ideals, once acclaim and corporate sponsorship comes, out goes what made the network special. Thank you Current for becoming a shell of something that was once beautiful and inspiring. I hope that as a community we can once again find a place where our passions were encouraged, our stories flourished, and our hope nurtured.
